Idea Hotel Plus Savona

We stayed for one night as we had a ferry the following day. Reception were very efficient and friendly. The room was large and clean. Parking was excellent as they share the car park with the shopping mall next door. There are plenty of local restaurants. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All in all it was a good stay and was a pleasant surprise having only read the reviews after we had booked it.

Outrageous misconduct by reception staff and illegal denial of service - Booking ID: 5931427762 Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally report a shocking incident that occurred on 11.09.2026 at your property involving your receptionist on duty. Despite having a fully paid reservation via Booking.com and valid identification documents, the receptionist refused to check my husband and me in. She acted aggressively and called the police in an attempt to intimidate us. We waited for the police to arrive. The police officers verified our documents, found them to be completely valid, and approved them. Despite the police confirmation, your employee still illegally refused to let us stay, forcing us into the street at night to look for alternative accommodation. This unprofessional and discriminatory behavior damages the reputation of Idea Hotel Plus Savona and drives customers away. We have already contacted Booking.com regarding this matter. We demand a full refund for this night, compensation for the alternative hotel we had to book, and immediate disciplinary action against the employee involved. We stayed in 2 separate rooms. Both of us got flea bites. The hotel feels 'tired' and needs some maintenance. Nice staff though

Room clean, but air conditioning NOT functioning. Currently 27degree in our room. Complained many times at reception. No person declared AC was not working on our arrival. Was offered another room, same condition applied, NO AC. Leading into summer shocking state of affairs. Reception staff, do their best but overall zero score. 2 star 🌟

Stayed for one night while driving through Europe, room was clean, staff were friendly. Area is in a shopping centre with car park attached. Perfect for one night stay, can’t comment on area as we didn’t explore area. Area was very quiet at night, slept very well. No coffee making facilities in room, but just went down to local Mac Donald’s and bought a coffee.
