Hotel Palace Viareggio

We had the most amazing 4 x night stay at the Palace Hotel. From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel very welcome by every member of the team there. The service was personal, friendly and professional, I honestly can’t remember the last time I had such a genuine welcome. The hotel location is prime and central with shops and restaurants near by, the beach and lidos just across the road. We stayed in a delux room with balcony and side sea views - our very spacious bedroom and bathroom were beautifully appointed with crisp white linens and towels. It was such a lovely touch to be given complimentary flip flops and a beach bag for the beach with beach towels at our disposal. Each day we enjoyed a complimentary bottle of water and when we returned each evening the turndown service left us a little chocolate treat. The breakfast choice was vast and plentiful, it was such a relaxed atmosphere, the breakfast room was stunning with large chandeliers, as was all the decor and fittings around the hotel .. transporting us back to an era of opulence. It was spectacular to watch the sunset each evening from the roof top terrace enjoying lovely drinks and snacks. We had a fabulous stay and the Palace hotel, it exceeded our expectations. It is the consistent friendly, genuine service from every team member that makes this hotel so special - we cannot wait to return.

Our wonderful vacation started the moment we arrived at the hotel, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Francesca at Reception. She was extraordinarily kind, welcoming, and supportive. Francesca personally walked us through the hotel, showed us all the facilities, explained everything in detail, and even accompanied us to our room, where our luggage had already been delivered. Her professionalism and warmth made us feel at home from the very first moment. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The selection was outstanding, starting with a variety of excellent coffees and real tea leaves—not just tea bags—with choices including green, black, and herbal teas. There was an impressive assortment of delicious salami, cheeses, sweet and savory pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables, scrambled eggs, bacon, and much more. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Our room was lovely, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the balcony and the incredibly comfortable bed, which ensured restful nights throughout our stay. The breathtaking terrace with its beautiful sea view was truly unforgettable. Combined with the excellent food and wine, it created the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the Italian atmosphere. Viareggio itself is a beautiful destination, and this hotel made our experience even more special. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and we are already looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!

My wife and I recently enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable 4 night stay at the excellent Palace Hotel. We stayed in a superior double sea view room with balcony. The bedroom area was traditionally furnished with a very comfortable bed and modern en-suite bathroom. The breakfast buffet was extensive and served in a lovely large and airy room. The hotel has a roof terrace with a bar and restaurant which offers view out to sea and is ideal for watching the sun setting whilst sipping a drink or enjoying a very good dinner. Providing a great customer service experience is clearly a high priority for the hotel an all of the staff we met reflected this. This started with Francesca who having checked us in very efficiently then gave us a tour of the hotel to ensure we knew where everything was (whilst our luggage was delivered to our room). We were also very impressed with Gabriella who greets guests at the breakfast room with a lovely smile and conversation, and Diana who we met in both the breakfast room and terrace restaurant who was always friendly and smiling. We are looking forward to returning to The Palace and would have no hesitation recommending it to family and friends

The palace Hotel was exactly what we were looking for in Viareggio- old Italian feel with modern conveniences. Excellent location by the beach. Welcoming and very helpful staff that never made you feel awkward if your Italian isn’t up to par. Very good breakfast, comfortable, well laid out room. When they say the room has an ocean view - they mean it. Aperitivo at the roof bar a delightful end to the day, creative cocktails, unbeatable view.We booked directly with the hotel and chose a package that included the daily beach club, so as not to have to worry. I emailed in advance to ask for a dinner reservation at a specific restaurant - prompt helpful response. They even made our beach day after check out more relaxing by being very helpful with our bags. Lovely week-end, thanks to the hotel front desk staff.

Returning to a favorite travel spot after 15 years can be risky, but the Palace Hotel is just as magical today as it was during our first visit in 2011. Stepping into this beautifully restored, century-old hotel on Italy's Art Nouveau seafront feels like stepping into a dream. Management even surprised us with a bottle of bubbly and a gift package to welcome us back! * The Location: It connects you to everything—beachfront walks, shopping, dining, and easy transit to explore Italy's world-class art and coastlines. * The Dining & Views: Our days started with an unbelievable breakfast buffet (the selection of seafood, pastries, and fresh fruits in the elaborate dining hall was beyond expectations) and ended with panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Apuan Alps from the rooftop terrace and restaurant. * The Rooms: Spacious, clean and quiet with a dedicated "pillow menu," for guaranteed comfort. * The Service: What truly makes this place special is the people. Seeing staff members who have dedicated 10 to 20 years to this hotel shows in the impeccable, warm, and responsive service. It was an unforgettable trip, and the Palace Hotel holds a very special place in our hearts.
