Hotel Palace Viareggio

We chose this beautiful old hotel for its grandeur and beauty. The architecture and decor were stunning. The hotel was impeccably clean and every corridor, staircase and room had an authentic charm. We were lucky enough to get a room with a seaview balcony which enjoyed stunning views of the beach and the surrounding mountains. The room itself was also beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a delight with a warm welcome and efficient service catering to our every need. Drinks and sunset on the rooftop terrace were divine. Julia’s cocktails were amazing and Diane’s warmth and humour as she served our delicious food completed the evening. The reception staff were also welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our daily Italian lesson with Francesca 😊. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and would like to thank all the staff for their dedicated commitment to ensuring an unforgettable stay. Grazie Mille e Arrivederci! 💕

This was by for the best hotel we stayed in all of Italy. Ownership and staff truly care about your experience and it shows to every detail from start to finish. Due to a booking mixup, we actually were not supposed to be in Viareggio but this hotel will be a big part of why we purposely come back. Thank you Palace team for everything!

Wonderful experience! The location is great, right in front of the sea, close to all amenities. The atmosphere is magic, really, rarely you get to see such a well kept and clean hotel, with an attention to preserve the original style intact. Room was clean, amazing bed, super view from the balcony. The restaurant above is terrific, great food and service, and what a view! And the staff. That’s the main attraction, so attentive and kind, they go the extra mile for you with a smile, even provided us with a tour of the facility. I can without doubt say: this is the best hotel in Viareggio.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful and friendly staff, who made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was also excellent, with a great selection and very good quality. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable experience, and the combination of the beautiful hotel, excellent food, and fantastic staff made our stay very special. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

We came for the Puccini festival, but spent a lot of time on the beach as well. We used the beach club directly across from the hotel, which is an extra charge but reasonable. The hotel breakfast was excellent and even had oysters on Sundays. Everyone was very friendly and we got a nice tour of this historic hotel upon arrival. No complaints whatsoever.
