Villa Fiesole

If visiting Florence, and would like to take a break from the city at the end of the day, I highly recommend staying at FH55 Villa Fiesole. Had an amazing room off the terrace, but it was the staff who made it so wonderful. Very attentive and friendly, always a warm smile. Free shuttle down and back from the center (have to book ahead). Bus out front. Arranged taxi service. Great food. Terrace overlooks the city of Florence, with the Duomo straight center. We sat outside on the terrace every evening enjoying the breeze, wine, and food. One of us were relieved of their wallet and passport, thankfully they had a paper copy of their passport. The front desk made calls in the evening and morning to help with securing an emergency passport. 1 suggestion, make copies of all your documents and carry two passport photos with you. Will greatly help with securing an emergency passport.

A September visit: HOT and they turned off the air conditioning, telling us it was a government mandate’ which is not true. Opening the windows let in mosquitoes which made our stay miserable. They gave us a fan which did not help. Sorry to say, with all the good things about this place, this overshadowed them.

We loved our stay! The hotel is in a quiet and beautiful location up the hill from Florence. The free shuttle made it easy to go into town. The hotel was elegant and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The views were incredible and the fact that beautiful Florence was so close was even better. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus which we got a few times and it was perfect. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and the buses were easy enough to use (if using google). We went for a walk through the woods to Fiesole and would definitely recommend that as the views are just breathtaking. Neri on reception was fantastic, very eager to help and gave us some recommendations for food in Fiesole. Such a beautiful hotel 😍

We are very experienced European travelers and I think the Hotel Villa Fiesole is my favorite European hotel Huge, beautifully decorated rooms and bathrooms Our room had a fireplace and private patio Very quiet Wonderful staff Beautiful views of Florence The nearby Fiesole restaurant Terrazza 45 is fabulous
