This is a good 3 star hotel and is priced accordingly. Positives are comfortable beds with good linen and towels and friendly staff. The breakfast and dinner are good 3 star level, but definitely not the quality you would expect in a four star hotel. If you miss the last shuttle at 5.30pm, you have a long walk uphill in ski boots. Most people used the stairs as the lift was so small and so slow. The reception and bar area has the feel of a bus station waiting room.
Kept getting lost my first time here until i realized they had these clever color coordinated lines on the ground you can follow to find your way. Decent transit system, though your options are more limited at night. Rats are a problem, as well, but i found bobcats are a natural solution.
Good medical facilities. Staff could use training for dealing with customers. Shot in the back whilst trying to exit
Arrived here with an open mind as reviews have been pretty mixed it was hard to know what to expect. The location and general ambience was better than I anticipated but unfortunately a flashing white sphere reminiscent of small ufo decided to collide with and destroy my suitcase. Tried to get reimbursed for the loss (I travel with multiple stacks of fabric and metal parts), but the Shredder on reception was having none of it.
Stayed at Stella Montis for a “quick loot run” and somehow left with PTSD, three batteries, and a teammate who now refuses to go underground ever again. Views are lovely if you enjoy abandoned mountain facilities and the constant sound of ARC machines screaming in the distance. The local wildlife is mostly drones with anger issues, but the atmosphere is unmatched. Great mix of tight interiors and open snowy routes, although the hospitality from other Raiders could definitely be improved — got shot trying to admire the scenery. Would recommend bringing: - Extra ammo - A silent weapon - A friend you’re emotionally prepared to lose 5/5 extraction experience. Would get ambushed here again.
