Riu Negril

My 2 girlfriends and I initially booked 3 nights at Riu Negril and ended up extending our stay for another night. This was an exceptional trip. What convinced us to stay was the people we interacted with. The servers and entertainment team were some of the most professional and welcoming people. We also work in the tourism industry and we understand what service should be like so we were blown away by them. We stayed in a standard double room which was okay. Food offering was good as well. Riu has a wide selection of cuisines and the food actually tastes good. I’m already planning my next visit and I’ll recommend this location to everyone I know. While I’m this trip, we took note of the names of persons we interacted with. Riu, please highlight these employees for their outstanding service which made us feel at home : Allison at the front desk, Mr Bestley in security , Flora Lee, Anthoney and Sade in the dining room, the entire ENT team was amazing but special mentions to : Shadow, 45, Whitney and Shin Shin, last but not least, we interacted with a manager by the name of Mr Leslie, very hospitable and professional. Will be coming back soon. ❤️

Beach, sea grass, quite a lot, very little fish, have to go on the reef to see plenty. Food, very good at all restaurants, especially Italian, Can be very noisy entertainment of a night. Quite pool, very good, lifeguard Leroy was brilliant keeping any noise down, thank you Leroy. Stayed in block 2, good position, unfortunately fire alarm going off, to many times. Our room 2209 top floor, was very good and very well looked after by housekeeping. Generally all staff very happy and welcoming, good service. We enjoyed our holiday very well.

I just like to say a big thankyou. To all the staff, entertainment team, life guards at the quite pool Leroy &Tyrell shop assistants. And all the staff in all the restraunts, and reception staff,.and of course the tui reps espeacialy kerry-ann just want to say a big thankyou to her she is absosulity brillient, and to say we got.hom saftely, and we will.be back, miss it there already its sandra &michael calkin room 3107

Great stay here! Stayed for one week with my brother. We both had an amazing time and the hotel was really good. Nice quiet location, along a beautiful quiet beach front. Hotel was very clean, modern and fresh. Our rooms were spacious, with plenty of storage space and a large bathroom with double sinks. Mini bar topped up on request as well. Beds were very comfy as well! Food was really good and plenty of variety. We ate breakfast most mornings at the main restaurant which again was very tasty and probably the best hotel buffet breakfast I’ve ever had! Lunch we mainly opted to go to Pepes and the taco corner. Again really nice food here! Evening time we had tried the steakhouse, Italian and the Asian buffet all of which were soooo good! Highly recommend that you try them whilst here. We tried the main buffet also twice on the evenings and yet again was really nice! Plenty of hot and fresh food, plenty of nice meats and fish available! And absolutely banging desserts if you’ve got a sweet tooth like me! Also sports bar serves food until late ish maybe just before midnight - we had a burger and fries and mac and cheese a few nights! And drinks 24/7 ;) Facilities really good. On site shop was very expensive, around 7 USD for a chocolate bar. Went into the gym which looked nice and also air conditioned. You can rent some water sport activities on the beach, we hired a pedalo (never again but was a right laugh!) WiFi decent as well. Drinks really good. Very extensive bar menu as well. Loved the “dirty banana” and “Bob and Rita Marley” cocktails! Mainly stayed by the pool bar and the vibe was always good! Staff - very attentive and friendly. Shout out to Shadow and Whitney in the entertainment, absolutely credit to the hotel and kept the vibes going the whole holiday. Whitney was hilarious. Negatives - if any one two minor things really annoyed me. First night we had the fire alarm activate around 5 times. Of course it was very loud and of course woke us up. Understandably I get that they are there for a reason and can’t exactly be turned off, yet it is clear that the smoke alarms are incredibly sensitive in the rooms and after speaking with the TUI rep the following morning, it can be common for the alarm to be set off accidentally just with the spray of deodorant or anything (or people smoking), she also mentioned that the hurricane had affected the power supply so sometimes that caused issues with it. Thankfully we only had it one night and didn’t hear it again. Secondly - rather concerningly, we went down for breakfast and came back to have realised that we mistakenly taken the towel card rather than the key card to the room. We went to reception and got a replacement card immediately, but the receptionist didn’t even ask us to confirm our names or anything - just scared me as we could have said we in any room and we would have gained access. Other than that a really great stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

From check in to check out, my family and I had a lovely time spent with the Riu negril family.. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and at home, food was excellent, activities daily and nightly entertainment was quite good. Thanks very much to Akella and Donna at front desk for making my birthday celebration extra special, also the staff at sports bar where we got our early morning tea, the bell man who assisted with our luggage's at check in and all the wonderful staff , the ladies who kept our rooms so nice..
