Severin Sea Lodge

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at Severin Sea Lodge! We stayed in one of the cottages, and it was perfect. We originally had several activities planned outside of the resort, but we enjoyed ourselves so much that we cancelled most of our plans and decided to simply stay, relax, and enjoy everything the property had to offer which probably says it all! The beach access was wonderful, the pools were great, the live band and entertainment added such a fun atmosphere, and we really enjoyed the food options. Even the guest gift shop was a great little surprise although I have one request: please add ponchos for sale! 😂 I definitely would have bought one. The staff was also wonderful and made our stay even more enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and contributed to the relaxing atmosphere. If I could add just two things to make the cottage experience even better, it would be robes in the rooms and a bathtub because I love a good robe-and-bath moment while on vacation! 😊 Overall, we had a fantastic stay. Severin Sea Lodge ended up becoming the destination instead of just the place we were staying while visiting Mombasa. We would absolutely stay again! Oh the wild momkeys were a little surprising but well behaved lol

The staff consistently demonstrates a high level of hospitality, the accommodations are meticulously maintained, and the reception provides a superior standard of service. Furthermore, the culinary offerings are commendable. I wholeheartedly endorse this beachfront lodge.

We absolutely loved our stay at Severin Sea Lodge and were genuinely impressed by the whole experience. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by lush tropical gardens, with the Indian Ocean right on your doorstep. The beach is stunning, and the entire resort has a wonderful atmosphere that makes it very easy to relax. The staff were fantastic — incredibly friendly, helpful and always smiling. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the food was very good, with plenty of choice. We especially enjoyed trying local Kenyan and Swahili-inspired dishes. The location was also perfect for us. It was a great base for exploring the Mombasa area, and we also went on a safari to Tsavo East and a boat trip to Wasini Island. One of our favourite things about the hotel was the wildlife around the grounds. Seeing monkeys, colourful birds and lizards wandering around the tropical gardens made the experience feel even more special. We also really enjoyed the live music and entertainment in the evenings. There were performances every day, and each evening had its own atmosphere. The music was a wonderful way to relax after a day of sightseeing or simply enjoy a drink while listening to talented local performers. It added a special touch to our stay without making the hotel feel noisy or overwhelming. Haller Park was another highlight for us and is located very conveniently near the hotel. It was a great place to spend a few hours and see giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, tortoises and other wildlife in a beautiful natural setting. The giant tortoises were definitely our favourite — seeing them up close was a really memorable experience. We would definitely recommend visiting the park during a stay at Severin Sea Lodge. We came to Kenya hoping for a relaxing holiday, but Severin Sea Lodge made the trip much more memorable than we expected. We are absolutely delighted with our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
