Southern Palms Beach Resort

A lovely place and a very welcoming staff. The food was great. They had clean rooms and very expansive activities to throughout the day. Generally lovely lovely place.

First time staying at Southern Palms and I can’t fault the place or the staff. We did a safari mid way through our stay and came back to the resort. All the staff and security are very friendly, you also see the head chefs from the kitchen making the rounds and chatting to the guest which is lovely to see. The resort itself is very clean and spacious. Lots of sunbeds and swimming pool faculty really well spaced out. The food options during breakfast, lunch and dinner you’re really spoilt for choice. My favorite has to be the 4pm snacks and masala chai.

Southern Palms is located on a white sandy beach with clear sea. The hotel staff keep the hotel grounds in immaculate condition, the food is amazing, theres plenty of choice and nothing is too much trouble for the hotel staff - they go above and beyond to make your stay special. Drinks are served cold & mostly all served out of sealed glass bottles so all pop & beers remain nice and fizzy. Rooms are clean and towels changed daily. Around the grounds you will see cheeky baboons & beautiful black & white monkeys. We did a safari, visited Shimba Hills, Mombassa market & did a boat ride to Wasimi island - all of which i recommend. There was a 4 day wedding at the hotel during our stay but the manager went out if his way to accomodate us, he booked us on amazing trips during the weddings busiest days and we were accompanied by a member of staff. Me my partner and our 16 year old had the best holiday here and would definatley return. Elphas & Trizah were both amazing during our stay, but honestly all staff were amazing.

The rooms that you see on the pictures do not look like the rooms you get. They are old, tired and of a poor standard. I was so disappointed after spending a lot of money for these rooms. I felt I was seriously misled. The ‘superior’ rooms you see on the photos are not the same class of rooms you will get.
