A fantastic holiday, beautiful resort, fabulous food and accommodation and happy, helpful and friendly staff. A special mention to Sattar our beach helper, he was outstanding in seeing to all of our wishes, along with all the other staff for ensuring we had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay possible. My wife and I have just spent 9 nights on the premium over water suite at Cinnamon Dhonveli for our belated honeymoon and birthday celebration, and we had absolutely the best time 😍 We spent most of our dining/drinking time at Rehendi restaurant/bar and the experience and food was fantastic. Lots of different types of dishes everyday, and friendly chefs making pasta, fried rice, omlette, etc. at your request thank you Khair & Saha! 😊 and also to Nishima at the Salad bar. The floor staff in this restaurant were great too, the team is led by Ruth who was very good and Kasheef, Shahee, Azlan & Manoj made you feel welcomed every time you stepped into the restaurant. Thank you all for my wife's birthday celebration! The resort itself was beyond our expectation, unbelievably clear water and variety of sea life including sting rays, sharks, hermit crabs and other creatures. We spent hours on our decking spotting fish and others 🤩 I was also amazed at the fact that the whole island was kept very tidy there was a team of ladies who were sweeping all day everyday to make sure the beach and path were spotless. The island also gets misted regularly to ensure there are minimal mosquitos. Our suite was kept really clean everyday by the house keeping staffs (apologies didn't get chance to get names). We also had unlimited laundry service (well worth it in our opinion) Senanayaka looked after us really well on that one, thank you. We tried couple of excursions and glass canoe hire. We got to see the turtles and dolphins so that was a wonderful experience. We didn't really get to see any fish with the glass canoe, so snorkeling is better for that and stick to normal canoe. We didn't spend huge amount of time at the bars but I would like to mention Salim & Shahaduth at beach bar and sunset bar. We had a good conversation and that's what it's all about. The resort does a lot to be sustainable incl. it's own organic farm, recycling and renewable energy. It's a plastic free space, so I encourage any future visitor to take as little plastic products with them (we're taking plastic waste back home with us). Sam from the welcome team was very informative upon our arrival. Areas for improvements: Blinds in the bathroom of the suite was showing it's age The sink and shower seemed to have a very slow drain? Floor got quite wet whenever we had shower. The bath tub couldn't keep water in, something wrong with the plug. Didn't really bother us but it might for some people. The shower wasn't amazing at keeping constant temperature/pressure? The turtle excursion crew, 1 guide swimmer, 1 boat driver, the other 2 were supposed to be lifeguards but seemed to be more interested on their smartphones so that was a little concerning.

Such a lovely day at the resort. We came over from Himmafushi for the day, and Sattar made our stay at the beach super special with towel animals and flowers on the beach towels.

Such a well-run organization! Clean, friendly, and just simply amazing. Lots to do if u want to pay for it. Beautiful beaches. Lovely sunrises. Fantastic massages. Highly recommend this island and highly recommend staying in a beach bungalow as opposed to overwater bungalows

Excellent resort for the price. Water villas are beautiful. Food is excellent, lots to choose from but limited to staying in one place all holiday unless you paid for the Tex Mex. Lasaan and Bhagya were fantastic in the restaurant . Would be nice to have a variety of places to eat as there were three restaurants catering for each area of the island this could be expanded. Good bars and selection of cocktails although evening entertainment was limited to musicians who played slow songs all night! Great for families - pool and fabulous playground. Both Reception and dive centre offer trips, both fantastic, check prices and what they offer as Reception can be cheaper for the same offering. Four star rating as I wouldn’t rate it a five star resort for the restaurants and entertainment but we had a wonderful time all the same.
