Dhigufaru Island Resort

It is one of the best islands in the Maldives and we visited 12 so far. The people are some of the kindest and warmest you can wish for. We were welcomed with traditional Maldivian drums that melt our heart. We had booked 14 spa treatments, 12 massages and two facials and so far we had two Balinese massages, two Thai massages and two aromatherapy massages and the facials. The ladies at the Spa are passionate about all the treatments, kind and very knowledgeable. They gave us some of the best massages so far! And a good giggle too. The island has a friendly atmosphere, there are beautiful wild birds lots of colourful fish around the reef and plenty of things to do. The island also has a lovely jewelry shop with helpful staff and there is also a doctor on duty, again, very knowledgeable and a nice person. We thoroughly recommend that if you get a chance you visit Dhigufaru Island Resort. We are thinking of coming back too. Still a few days left from this holiday and too good not to share about it!

We had a 5 night stay in a sunset over water villa and loved the experience. The rooms were spacious enough and the outlook was perfect. We frequently saw beautiful trevally, tropical fish, stingrays, black tip reef sharks and crabs outside the villa and were lucky enough to see a huge stingray while snorkelling over the house reef. We found the food was excellent; we both love curries and found plenty of selection. I also really enjoyed the Maldivian specialities like the mas huni - I’ll be trying to recreate this at home! The staff were wonderful, and we had an enjoyable balance of relaxing, socialising, swimming and snorkelling. The highlight was snorkelling with the nurse sharks - incredible. Everything was perfect for us and we have no problems recommending this to other couples.

Hands down if you love snorkeling, this island is a must visit! Stunning water, Coral’s, colorful fishes and beautiful beaches! Cosy rooms with everything you’d need and perfect value for money and more. Rooms and everything was hygienic and clean! Food was also good but can be improved! Our room attendant (Jihad) had left a birthday letter when we arrived, which added a personal touch that went beyond the usual service standard. While I’ve seen birthday cards prepared on behalf of the management, having the room attendant personally take the time to leave this thoughtful gesture felt unique. I would happily recommend this resort!

A fantastic spot to stop and put your feet up! Staff were accommodating, other guests were friendly and the rooms were pretty good as well. Not the best resort we’ve stayed at, however was well above average! Variety of foods at the buffet, great range of drinks available in the all inclusive package and there were some unique experiences to be had. Hands down the best snorkeling we’ve ever seen, the water was crystal, the weather pretty good considering we are here in the shoulder of monsoon season. The island itself is a barefoot paradise. Literally. Loved our time here. Stay in the villas on the water!! You won’t regret it
