Jawakara Islands Maldives

What and amazing stay. This was our second stay on Dheru (the smaller of the two islands) and we were blown away by the Jawakara team. We were made to feel so welcome and special from the minute we arrived. We stayed in a beach pool villa on the sunset side and the room location was perfect. the beach is pristine (which is the same for all the Jawakara beaches) white, powder soft sand and a gorgeous lagoon for swimming - you'll spot turtles, sharks and rays all around the island. Leave your shoes at home! We ate in Vela buffet for most of our meals and the food is absolutely fabulous. Such a huge choice and fresh grill stations and a tandoor every night with the most amazing fresh breads. Ashfaq and his team will literally provide anything that you want, we lost count of the many meals that were made especially for us - the Indian Chef made us some fabulous curries, Dahl and breads. Ashfaq, Priyajit, Biltu and Purnima took care of us and nothing was too much trouble - it was actually emotional when we came to leave as they had become friends :) We also ate at Umi the Asian inspired over water restaurant which was absolutely fabulous; the food, the setting, Rohit's cocktails and all the team there are exceptional. I will never tire of drinking cocktails watching sharks and rays lit up in the shallow lagoon. Molo Italian inspired restaurant is also fabulous and another great setting, thanks ro Ranjii for the cocktails and fabulous wine. And then we had the best steak and fish we've eaten at Hideout for dinner, and don't miss the key lime pie; Taha and his team are wonderful. The island is gorgeous and the villas beautiful but what makes Jawkara so special are the team who are simply fabulous and go above and beyond to make your stay extra special. We had the pleasure of meeting the CEO and some of the key management team, who are very visible and friendly, and you can see why the champions are like they are, they have great, approachable leaders who clearly set the standard that they follow and always with a smile on their face. And I couldn't write a review without mentioning our host Raisham and our housekeeper Subin. Raisham literally looked after our every need, and almost knew what we wanted and had it organised before we asked, he was always there with a buggy when we needed, he is an absolute credit to the island. And Subin ... where do you begin our villa was spotless and every day he made sure we were happy and had everything we needed, he surprised us every evening with his towel art which was so lovely, again another huge credit to the island. We had planned a visit to another island next year, but we've already changed that and will be returning to Jawakara ... our home, with a wonderful new 'family' in the Maldives. We can't wait to return. Jawakara you have stolen our hearts, thank you! X

Such an amazing place!!! Jumping from the villa to the ocean and being able to watch Mantas, black tip sharks, turtles, lot of fishes, coral... is priceless. Staff there is amazing, always supportive with a huge smile in the face... and do not miss mango daikiry :) neither Molo italian bistro :) Thanks @Rubina, our guest manager, for such astonishing experience!

Our stay at Jawakara was absolutely incredible from beginning to end, and we couldn’t recommend it more! The service was outstanding throughout our entire stay. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference and made us feel so welcome. The food was simply amazing! There was an incredible variety of delicious options every single day across the different buffets, with something for everyone. The à la carte restaurants were equally fantastic, offering excellent food and consistently exceptional service. We genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing! Choosing the Premium All-Inclusive (PAI) package was definitely worth it. Having access to additional experiences and benefits, such as the massage, made our stay even more special and relaxing. The gym was also excellent, with great facilities and everything needed for a proper workout. Another unforgettable highlight was our dolphin-watching experience, which was absolutely magical! Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable, and perfectly maintained. The daily housekeeping and attention to detail were impeccable, ensuring everything was spotless and taken care of throughout our stay. The nights could have more activities but what truly makes Jawakara special, beyond its beautiful surroundings and fantastic facilities, is the people. The level of care, attention, and genuine hospitality was exceptional in every part of the resort. We had the most wonderful experience and honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. Jawakara exceeded our expectations, and we would return in a heartbeat! A huge thank you to the entire Jawakara team for making our stay so memorable!
