Kuredu Island Resort & Spa

We spend 10 days @ kuredu and it was amazing. The island is a barefoot island and you do not need any shoes at all. Its a bit challanging because the feets are usually not used to it but we loved it. The island has a house reef which is very nice, you can see many different kinds of fishes in different colours. Our son (12y) loved it and was everyday busy with snorkling. The island is also big enough to be able to go around and walk a bit instead of spending all the time on the hammok. It usually takes about 1.5h to circle around. We had a beach bungalow with 2 adults and our son and it was not big but totally enough. We used it only for sleeping and where outside all the day and enjoyed the nice weather and beautiful colours :) The room cleaning service was perfect, everything was cleaned up on a daily base. Also the mini bar was included in our AI package and was filled every day. We mostly used the pool and also the pool bar. Special thanks to the bar keepers who perfectly managed to serve all the guests the requested drinks in very short time, also in the rush ours! You should know that there is no big animation programm in place. In the evening ourts there are some live music events and also a white party once a week but thats it. For us this was totally enough and we are not eager to have an animation programm. We used no special restaurants and enjoyed our AI food in the bonthi restarurant. The dinner themes repeat on a weekly base, but this is totally fine. There is always enough food for the different tasts (meat lovers, vegetarian,...). In the morning the cooks made fresh omletts or other kinds of eggs which where very tasty. We can also recommend the diving school where we did some snorkel trips to other reefs. Very nice guides which show and explain everything briefly. We visitied Kuredu already 13 years ago and in the meantime they changed one concept, an island host was introduced. The island hosts is contact person for the guests to have a single point of contact for all your belongings. Our island host was Pratikshya and we wanted to specially thank her for her time spent on our requests. She organized everything to our complete satisfaction, so that we could concentrate on spending our time in the sun :)

We had a wonderful stay and were very happy with our accommodation. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and always willing to assist. Special thanks goes to Abhi our Island host who was always available in terms of questions and support. The location was beautiful, and there was so much to see underwater, making it a fantastic experience for snorkeling and exploring marine life.

This is my first time on this island but it won’t be the last. Service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. The food and drinks are amazing and all the staff are so friendly. There is plenty to do including snorkelling, diving, tennis, and really good evening entertainment. Rooms are stunning and housekeeping work incredibly hard to keep it looking beautiful. Special thanks to Mandira in the. Bonthi restaurant as she was the best, she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

Wow! What an amazing and beautiful island they have here. When they say no shoes required they literally mean no shoes. We loved this about the island as it gave you the sense of freedom. The island is beautiful and kept so clean. We stayed in a Sangu Jacuzzi Beach Bungalow (148) and it was perfect. My only downside is the sliding back door which is a little heavy and noisy, especially if you need to get up in the night for the toilet. Outside shower was so different but got used to this after day 1. From the moment you step on to the island you feel so welcomed and all the staff are friendly making you feel like you belong there. We did check in online at Male whilst waiting for the sea plane so it made the check in on arrival super quick. Taken to our Bungalow by the buggy service, met our Island host (Vamshi) who provided his WhatsApp number to use if we need or wanted to book anything. Beach on your doorstep with sun loungers meant we didn't need the pool area. Walked along the sandbank a few times a day and saw the stingray in the shallows of the water. Walked to the end of the pier at night to see the marine life, the sharks! Further along the beach you can snorkel to see the fish and even turtles, just wow! Feel the dive center could charge for hire per 24 hours rather than per day. We collected equipment at 3pm and charged for a whole day. All Inclusive Plus was great, we knew what and where was included and didn't feel this was an issue. We did the Beach BBQ and Jungle dinner. The Jungle dinner I would recommend, worth the treat and the chef is amazing! We celebrated our 20 year anniversary and they made sure we felt special on the day. Upgraded our dinner table to the beach (see photo) and received a cake in the morning plus a note on our bed cut from leaves! The room boy (Sayin) did a wonderful job. The free sunset cruise was wonderful and we saw the dolphins. Sangu restaurant, what can I say, the food is amazing. Never felt bored of what was on offer and it all was so flavoursome. Manu was our waiter and he was so attentive from our first meal to the last. He knew what drinks we wanted at each each meal, and our breakfast order. Room boys Sayin and Mohamed were fantastic. We loved Mohameds towel animals, so imaginative and never have we had the room seen to twice a day! The turn down of bed covers and lights on for bedtime was a nice touch. Used the gym facilities, tried the outside padel court and booked a session in the spa, all faultless. We didn't want to go home and we will be back. If you want a relaxing holiday then don't think about it just book it. What a unique experience/holiday.

Beautiful Kuredu, never disappoints! We meet our Dutch friends, who we met on Kuredu 14 years ago. It is a lush island with wonderful management of the flora and fauna. We have tried various types of accommodation over the years and been very happy with all areas of the island. We now like to stay in the Sangu area, Wonderful location for us. The whole team look after you and nothing is to much trouble from each and every one of them ❤️ The Island has different restaurants, bars and entertainment areas to suit all, as Kuredu is a larger Island. It is for us, paradise! there is something for everybody looking for this type of relaxing holiday. We will be planning to visit again. Kuredu is truly a very memorable place ❤️
