Safari Island Resort

The most amazing holiday experience. We cannot thank you enough for the most amazing holiday we have ever had, from the moment we arrived and saw the smiling faces on the boat dock, through check in and being shown to our room, we instantly felt relaxed and the hotel had 100% met all my requests for a special room which was heaven, the views and the sound of the waves, plus daily visits from Arrow was magical. Fazeel was our waiter throughout, nothing was too much trouble, he is the most wonderful person and we looked forward to seeing him every day, everything in the restaurant including our table was absolutely perfect, the food was outstanding and the desserts were wonderful. Adarsh made the best eggs in the morning. I didn’t get everyone’s name unfortunately, the man who looked after our room was so kind and we loved having a chat with him in the morning. The bar staff at the pool bar made wonderful cocktails and really knew their mixology. Everyone at reception and behind the scenes were wonderful and attentive, the whole team are an absolute credit to the island, I was so emotional when we were leaving on the last morning, everyone looked after me with tissues, it is the sign to me of an attachment to people and a place when you feel so very sad to leave. We are 100% going to come back to Safari Island. Thank you again for everything you did for us and we cannot wait to return to see everyone including Arrow. One thing I loved was that the team were still in awe of a ray swimming past the restaurant and a sun rise, which were truly beautiful.

Had a fantastic time we had beach hut then a water bungalow both were beautiful clean tidy and very comfortable 😃 staff were lovely very friendly and worked hard . The beach was just beautiful no shoes for 10 days water crystal clear and fish , sharks the ones that don’t eat you 🤣 we swam for hours out on the reef with snorkels it was amazing it’s a resort to truly relaxing if you want entertainment then this isn’t for you as they don’t have any but for me that was fine we took cards and made are own entertainment it was great we enjoyed that also have a lovely little library you can get a book and have a jolly good read. Food was lovely can’t fault anything I have been to the Maldives before on a bigger island and found it was very class orientainted with gold bands silver bands blue bands when you were not allowed in certain pools or were not allowed in certain restaurants which I found very intimidating but thankfully none of that here also people with young children were here but personally I don’t think there is enough for young kids I found it very odd that people would bring young children to such a small resort it’s not that sort of island a bit selfish really as children need a bit more entertainment but each to their own. But all in all if your looking for a truly relaxing holiday in a beautiful location then this is the place to go I give it a 10/10

What a special little island. We loved our stay here, we had a semi water bungalow. Stunning room with the wow factor. Clean beach towels provide daily. Tea and coffee in your room again replenished daily. The island is small, quiet but does not lack anything. Super friendly staff who are on hand to assist where they can. The perfect setting to relax and recharge the batteries, while looking at the wildlife. We stayed all inclusive which fitted our requirements and the food was varied and plentiful. I’m allergic to fish and there was loads for me to choose from. We loved it so much, we have booked to return next year.

Safari Island is an Island paradise, white sand, warm azure sea, palm trees etc in the middle (ish) of the Indian ocean. so here is a potted guide: Beach Bungalows: These are on the beach with the sea just outside your door. They have a super-king size bed, fridge, air conditioning, tea & coffee making stuff (no milk, its packet creamer), bathroom with shower (beware it may flood the bathroom when using it). There is a small deck outside with sunbeds. Extras to take with you: Clothes pegs, most bungalows have a washing line but no pegs. Little bottle of washing detergent as laundry can be expensive. Restaurant and Bars: The restaurant is buffet style for each meal, some say the menu is limited but we found it OK, the reef fish served each day is excellent. The palm bar is the only one under cover and is quite comfortable. There are two other bars, the pool bar by the swimming pool and the sunset bar (only open during sunset) Things to take as a must: Plenty of Factor 50 sun cream, the sun can be savage, put it on even when it cloudy. Anthisan bite cream as the mosquitos are nasty. If you sweat a lot, 3 or 4 cheap face cloths. Flip flips or shoes for walking on sand and that you don't mind getting when, when it rains it rains!. 2 or more sets of swim wear, although it is hot, it is also humid so wet stuff take time to dry. Extras to be aware of: The only place with air conditioning is your bungalow, everything else is open to the air, including the restaurant and bars (except when it rains when they bring down the plastic curtains) Make sure the leads and chargers for electrical items work as replacements are expensive. Tipping: Although it is not expected but tips are very gratefully received. We took dollars in small denominations. There is a small library room with books you can borrow in several languages and a shop selling souvenirs, some foot ware, snacks (not available in the bars) sun cream (expensive) I would recommend choosing an all inclusive holiday as drinks etc can be expensive. You will have to sign for all your drinks etc as there are different tariffs (Full board, Half Board) that do not include drinks. The staff are always willing to help you at any time and keep the bungalows, bars and surrounding area scrupulously clean. The only noise is the sea and the birds (they can be a bit annoying at times)

Wonderful island with a friendly service. I lived in a water bungalow giving to the ocean. Restaurant is spacious and offering a multitude of local and international dishes. Only my compliments!
