For anybody looking at Sun Siyam Olhuveli as a holiday destination, you will not regret it! The resort is beautiful and so well maintained. The rooms are large, stylish and have been set out so that you can enjoy the best the Maldives has to offer, whether it’s sunset views or easy access to the water. The food here is also impeccable. The buffet restaurant covers a wide range of options from a live cook pasta station, to more local dishes from the Maldives and South Asia that will cover all palettes. They also have many other table service restaurants which were part of the all-inclusive package. These were 10/10. In terms of accessibility, the resort is great! There are buses travelling around the island constantly which you can hop on/hop off to mean you don’t ever need to walk far to explore different areas. We also had Alsaba supporting us throughout our stay and she was able to cover any other needs we had (booking activities/ dinner reservations /booking travel) During our stay (Sept/Oct ‘26) a small part of the island was closed for refurbishment. The entire area was screened really well so that construction couldn’t be seen, and there was absolutely no noise disturbance. Other than being told on arrival about the work, it was not noticeable at any point during our stay.

We recently stayed at Sun Siyam Olhuveli on the main island in a beach pavilion room and it was amazing! I was slightly nervous after reading some reviews regarding construction works & closed restaurants but I will detail everything below There are signs of construction works when you arrive but we never noticed or heard anything throughout the stay. The island is close to the airport & 45 mins by speedboat which is a lot quicker than other islands we have stayed at. You can use the facilities across all 3 resorts which means you never tire of restaurants or pool/beach areas to visit. (Although some areas are adults only) We went all inclusive & was really impressed with the quality of food & restaurants. Namaste and Sun Siyam Thai are closed but have relocated to the buffet restaurant on Dream island. However the tables are set up on the beach overlooking the sea with intimate settings so it didnt affect anything. I would highly recommend forvdinner Namaste if you like Indian food, Milano for the best steak & Culinarium for dining over the sea. We saw sharks & turtles while enjoying our dinner! Island pizza, crust & flame, sun siyam orchid was our go to for lunch but there are lots of choices. The all inclusive drinks have a massive choice of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks/cocktaiks/milkshakes & the staff are super attentive. You can have a 3 course meal for lunch & dinner & the food is lovely. We used the pedalos & kayaks as part of the all inclusive you get 1 hour per day. Everytime we saw plenty of turtles. We also hired a jet ski which was a lot cheaper than other resorts. All bookings are made via the app which is easy to use & you can book ahead before you arrive. Outside our room was the long pool & pool bar which also served a great selection of drinks. There are plenty of buses to get you around & you never have to wait too long. However the beauty of walking around the resorts, especially in the evenings, is the wildlife you see across the lit up bridge walk ways. Its mesmerising to see the turtles, sting rays & sharks on your walk home! Also at the dive centre you can see the resident Manta ray which is worth the visit itself! We went every evening & finally saw it on our final night! We have visited the Maldives 3 times and this by far was the best resort for restaurants, activities & things to do/see. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, mini bar restocked daily, very comfortable beds & great air con. The weather was perfect with a couple of days where it rained for about 5-10 mins but we was still sat on the beach as it was still so hot! Beach towels are also provided in your rooms and on the loungers. The biggest thing is the staff at this resort go out of their way to help, chat & genuinely make your holiday the best it can be. We are already planning our next trip!!

Just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay - we absolutely loved it ! Short 45 mins speedboat transfer was great - No noise at all from building work and we were on main island by the Sunrise pool . Our host Leo met us upon arrival and explained the AI concept- he did a good job . Room was excellent - clean , modern with a great sunrise view All restaurants are fab - especially the Thai restaurant Siyam Orchid which was our favourite- Sang was a brilliant member of staff - definitely a manager for the future , followed by Nameste Indian restaurant . High Tides house band were superb and could play any requests - lots of different genres - first class . Pool areas were clean with plenty of towels Dolphin Discovery trip was excellent -we saw lots of dolphins and the sunset cruise did not disappoint. Bar service at The Bar was excellent with great cocktails . Shuttle bus from island to island works really well - Mr Happy - I think his name is Al Amir is superb - what a brilliant ambassador for Sun Siyam Katrina from activities team ran a very good Ocktober fest sports afternoon. The best part for me was the snorkelling off the main Dive Centre reef every morning - wow ! We had the most amazing time but these things would make it even better ! Some more fun sports activities similar to Oktoberfest would be great More frequent sunbed bar service at Sunrise bar would be welcome Provide towels at the main dive centre. More 6.30pm - 7.30pm pre dinner entertainment please More live music around the pools during the day Cans of Diet Coke / Fanta to be made more readily available across the resort Thank you We can’t wait to come back
