Ambre Mauritius

My husband and I have just returned following 2 fantastic weeks at Ambre for our wedding anniversary. Following a long flight we were welcomed with great smiles a refreshing drink and made to feel instantly at home. We were taken to our perfect spacious room which had recently been refurbished and had fabulous Seaview. Our room also had a huge bed and we always found the shower lovely and warm. The staff are just amazing throughout the whole hotel, from housekeeping and ground staff to the restaurants and bars to front of house. They even sent me a box of English breakfast tea to our room, when I asked if any maybe available. The facilities provided were excellent, we enjoyed a great lobster night on the beach and also booked into the Italian restaurant several times. The food was extremely good throughout our stay with great selection in all restaurants within the hotel. We enjoyed some excellent trips from 5 island with Chris and the south Island tour via private taxi. It was a little windy during our stay however this didn't spoil our holiday. The hotel room brolly came in handy for a sudden quick shower on the evening. The hotel has such a beautiful setting along the white sandy beach and the pools were perfect - albeit a little cold until you were in. We also managed to enjoy the water facilities provided once the wind had dropped. We highly recommend for a relaxing romantic escape in your own piece of heaven. We honestly didn't want to leave and will 100% return.

Staff was very welcoming. Unfortunately had some trouble with the spa reservation but luckily Mrs Nicoletta was a great help. She was so nice!!!

We decided on a September break but perhaps this was a bit early as we did have a few days of light rain. More importantly, though, we were thrilled with Ambre Resort. Our room was (Number 175) was located far from the noisy areas but right opposite the beach where we spent most of our time. The room was spacious, well appointed and spotless. Ms Saba did a great job on housekeeping. When we did have a minor incident (a leak in the bathroom) it was attended to within minutes. The general ambience is laid back as the energy levels are contained with the adults-only policy. The buffet service in the dining-hall was varied but we also tried out the Dolce Vita (very fast, efficient service) and La Plage (fantastic steak!) restaurants that require reservation. Our favourite hang-out was the TI bar where Pascaline and Jack rendered wonderful service. Visitors to the resort are able to do kayaking, water pedalling, stand-up paddling, and there is a boat that takes snorkellers out for an hour. I was a bit disappointed as I enjoy snorkelling from the shore and, while this is possible, it is limited. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, from the greeting on arrival to the send off on departure. In particular, we cannot help but mention Mr Singh, and Geeda, Deena, Vanessa and Rachel. Truly, they are the soul of Ambre Resort.

We had such a lovely stay at Ambre Mauritius and honestly, we really enjoyed every moment of it. Everything was just what we needed for celebrating our anniversary. The hotel is in a beautiful location right by the beach, and the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. The adults-only concept makes such a difference because the whole place has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It was really nice to be able to switch off, enjoy the pool and beach, and just take our time. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was also very good, and we could see that the staff really put effort into keeping everything neat and welcoming. By the way the Food was excellent. What really made our stay special, though, was the service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, but we would especially like to mention Hassan, Rose, Ben, Sanjeev, Sha, Aliyah and Nicoletta. They were all kind, helpful and attentive, and their friendly attitude made us feel genuinely welcomed. There are also plenty of amenities to enjoy, so you never feel like there is nothing to do. At the same time, the hotel never felt too noisy or crowded, which we really appreciated. It was peaceful enough to properly relax. Beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, great service, good facilities and, most importantly, a very relaxing atmosphere. A big thank you to the whole Ambre team, especially Hassan, Rose, Ben, Sanjeev, Sha, Aliyah and Nicoletta, for making our stay so enjoyable. ❤️ We truly had a great time and would definitely love to come back again!

It was my third visit to Mauritius and my second time staying on the east side of the island. It’s a fantastic location for exploring the island, with most places being no more than a two-hour drive away! The hotel had such a chilled and relaxed atmosphere, which was enhanced by it being an adults-only resort. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and hospitable. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and their service really helped make our stay so special. We would like to give a big shout-out and a heartfelt thank you to a few individuals who made our experience even more memorable. Firstly, to Javed and Padmila, thank you so much for helping me arrange everything for my proposal to my now-fiancée (thankfully, she said yes 🤣). You helped make the whole experience so much less stressful and even more special. Many thanks again to you and your team! We would also like to give a special thank you to Roopesh and Vicky, two of the chefs. During some friendly conversations, we discussed where my fiancée is from, the Philippines, and they kindly prepared a special dish of Chicken Adobo for us and our friends one evening. It was absolutely sensational! 🤩 On our final night, they also prepared a special dish of creamy garlic prawns, which was equally amazing. These personal touches really made our stay unforgettable, and we truly appreciate the effort they put in. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. It was situated away from the main restaurant, bar and pool area, making it wonderfully peaceful and quaint. The housekeeping team were amazing too, making our bed every day, leaving fresh water and keeping the room spotless throughout our stay. Thank you also for the beautiful special room setup after the proposal, which my fiancée absolutely loved! 🥰 We were notified before our holiday that there would be some maintenance and renovation work taking place during our stay, which we appreciated. However, we barely noticed it at all. The resort was lovely and quiet throughout our visit, with the only exception being the large fruit bats screeching in the evenings! 🤣 Overall, we had a fabulous stay at Ambre Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Mauritius. The value for money was exceptional, and the service was faultless. The staff, atmosphere and personal touches made this a truly memorable holiday for us, especially with such a special milestone to celebrate.
