Three Stars: Beautiful Resort Let Down by Poor Service and Isolation (6-Night Stay) We recently returned from a 6-night stay at Coin de Mire Attitude and had a very mixed experience. While the resort itself has a lot of charm, the service we received means we would not recommend it or return. The Disappointments: * Poor Service & Language Barrier: Apart from one lovely staff member on check in, we found the staff to be distinctly unfriendly. Restaurant service was highly disorganised, and the staff seemed to lack basic training. When we escalated this to management, they admitted they were facing "recruitment difficulties," but no gesture of goodwill or compensation was offered. We heavily felt that being English-speaking put us at a disadvantage compared to French-speaking guests. * Location & Isolated Travel Costs: The resort feels very isolated with no alternative dining options within walking distance. Taxis are incredibly expensive; it cost us 1,000 rupees just to get into Grand Baie, which quickly adds up if you want to escape the hotel. * Food & Entertainment: The buffet food was perfectly fine, but over a 6-night stay, it became highly repetitive. While we enjoyed two nights of cultural entertainment (the Sega and African dancing), the standard music played around the resort the rest of the time was not to our taste. * Pool & Facilities: The pool area was constantly overwhelmed with too many children, making it difficult to relax. Furthermore, while our room was otherwise clean, the decorative cushions looked quite grubby. The Highlights: * Activities & Beach: Because the pool was too crowded, we spent our time on the beach. The free beach and water activities provided by the hotel were excellent and a real highlight of our stay. * Decor & Grounds: The tropical design and general decor of the hotel are lovely and well-maintained. Verdict: If you speak French, don't mind repetitive buffet food, and plan to stay purely on-site, you may enjoy this hotel. However, for the price paid, the poor service and isolation ruined the relaxing holiday vibe we were looking for.

A big thank you as well to the entire Coin de Mire Attitude team, including everyone I may have forgotten to mention by name. Every single one of you contributed to making my stay special through your kindness, smiles, and genuine hospitality. You all deserve recognition and appreciation! ❤️ What made this stay truly unforgettable was the way the staff made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued throughout my time there. It is the people who make a place unforgettable, and the team at Coin de Mire Attitude definitely did that! The staff were friendly, the facilities were well maintained, and everything was generally enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coin de Mire Attitude. The hotel offers great value for money, and everything was generally very clean and well maintained. The only small issue was that the bathroom door could have been cleaned a bit better. We especially liked the selection of boats and water activities available at the beach, which was a really nice bonus. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was the buffet. The food was fine, but the variety was rather limited in our opinion. Overall, a very pleasant stay and definitely a good choice for the price. We would recommend it!
