Constance Belle Mare Plage Mauritius

My wife and I have just returned from our 8th visit to Constance Belle Mare Plage. I would just like to say a big thank you yet again to everyone for making our stay as perfect as ever. Every member of staff works hard to make our stay as perfect as possible. I cannot mention everyone but a few special mentions. Firstly to all the staff at both golf courses who are just so helpful and accommodating and greet you like a long lost friend when you return and to be truthful after 8 visits they feel like friends. To Ashok and Chand who we first met in 2015 and do a fabulous job of looking after us on the beach along with Pravin. Of all the sommeliers Soumyajit is our favourite as soon as we walked into the restaurant he was straight over and even remembered our favourite wine from last year. His enthusiasm for wine is on another level his passion is infectious. Also a special mention to Vimla from the house laundry. We took advantage of the laundry service and had all our clothes washed and ironed for our return home. Vimla took such care and effort to make sure everything came back beautifully presented. As you can gather we love Constance Bell Mare Plage and can’t wait to return again next year. If your contemplating going don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed from the staff, the accommodation, the food and the overall ambience it is wonderful. We stayed at Constance in late September/early October 2026 and left quite disappointed, knowing we won't be going back. From the outset, the emails from the resort felt like copy-and-paste templates, from a different person each time. It never felt like anyone was actually reading our emails or answering our questions. We weren't offered any transfer options from the airport either, which would have been nice, so we ended up booking a private transfer for €100. When we arrived we were greeted and then brought to a lounge and told we'd get a WhatsApp when our room was ready (supposedly at 2pm). The WhatsApp never came, and when we went to ask, they said the room was ready. We didn't actually get into it until around 2:30pm. Our first meal was lunch at La Kaze: stale pizza, some picky bits and the worst ginger beer I've ever tasted. Not a great start. As the trip went on we figured out the food situation, mostly having lunch at Indigo and booking the restaurants for dinner. To be fair, the food credits do go a long way, but it's clear the system is set up in the hope that you overspend. Blue Penny Cellar was our favourite for dinner. We felt a bit of pressure to order wine even though neither of us drinks it, and we found it very odd that cocktails and even water(!) were charged to the bill despite being on the All Inclusive plan. That said, the Wagyu sirloin is unmissable and the staff were amazing. Blu Sushi was great. We only ate there once but loved the menu. Some of the best sushi I've ever had, and the pork belly and dumplings were amazing too. The waiters were brilliant. We ate at Spiaggia twice. The staff were a bit chaotic and had arguments in front of us more than once, but the Italian food was divine and we really enjoyed both nights. The spa really let us down. It was one of the main reasons we booked, and when we toured it on day two we found out the sauna was out of service. It stayed that way for our entire stay. Nobody mentioned it to us, and when I asked about it, the only answer was that there was no timeline for the repair. The steam room worked but didn't feel the cleanest. The gym was also under construction when we arrived and closed for the first three days. There was a makeshift alternative set up, but it wasn't really fit for purpose. I had physio to do on my knee during the trip and couldn't properly complete it. Again, nobody mentioned this at check-in, which felt like things were being hidden from us. When the gym finally reopened on 1st October it was great and had everything I needed. Le Swing was surprisingly nice for lunch and worth the trip. We were also told we could have breakfast, lunch or dinner at Deer Hunter, but every time we went over it was closed for a BMW event. Again, this was never flagged by staff, so why offer it as an option when it was closed to hotel guests the whole time? This really irked me and looking back I should have complained. The resort was very busy while we were there and you could feel it. It felt crowded and the restaurants were packed, which sometimes slowed service down. But didn't really bother us. The beach and the Serenity pool were our favourite spots to relax during the day. The water sports were great and my partner did lots of water skiing with help from the staff on the boats and dock. The sea was cold and choppy, and the pools were chilly too. I heard a few people complain about it, though I didn't mind. We're not golfers but we played mini golf. The putting course isn't well looked after, with some flags wonky or fallen out. It's a small thing, but annoying when it doesn't work properly. In general we found the staff really nice and friendly. There might be a bit of a comparison problem here, but for the price we paid, it just wasn't good value for us. The gap between the canteen-style buffet and the restaurant food was so big. If the buffet is so poor that you feel pushed to pay for food elsewhere, all inclusive feels pointless. Rooms The room felt very dated. There were cracks all over the ceiling and the air con leaked, leaving a small puddle on the floor. The shower handle was stiff and the water smelled like dirty sea water. The blinds looked like they were from the 90s. On the plus side, the bed was comfy and the TV worked. Food and drinks The dinner buffet is where we really struggled. Some nights we genuinely struggled to find anything to eat. I'm glad we only ate there two or three times. Desserts also weren't restocked. You'd see them on your first lap, and by the time you went back they were mostly gone. This was around 9pm, with the buffet open until 10:30pm, so it's hard to see any reason for it other than cost saving. Noteworthy details The breakfast buffet was fine. It covered the basics but barely changed day to day and there was nothing special about it. Coffee was inconsistent depending on the waiter

The hotel is beautiful, with stunning surroundings, gorgeous beach and a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were well looked after. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the entire resort was beautifully maintained. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy quality time with good friends and experience the very best of Mauritian hospitality. We left feeling thoroughly spoilt and with some very special memories. A genuine five-star experience and we would happily return, We highly recommend Constance Belle Mare Plage!

My family and I stayed in one of the villas. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Jay and the team, who manage the villas, took great care of us and made sure our requests were met. He checked up on us every day during our three day stay - fresh water, afternoon cakes and fresh towels were provided every day. Would highly recommend for anyone in the UK looking for hot weather!

This hotel has the friendliest staff. We felt very welcome throughout our stay. The recommendations from the brilliant sommeliers Chriag and Atish made dinner perfect. Kinela took excellent care of our laundry; she was simply lovely and even brought us a personal gift. The fitness instructor even managed to make spinning a fun part of our holiday. It’s just a brilliant team – everyone we met!
