Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. We are currently staying here and don’t really have anything positive to say. The problems began before we arrived. I tried to contact concierge to organise restaurant bookings and excursions to be met with no response even after chasing several times. Now we are here, the customer service is terrible. I have never seen so many staff around but yet there is no one available to help you. There is something wrong at every interaction in this hotel - no spoons on the dinner table. No milk brought with tea. No staff regularly walking around the pool to order drinks from. The staff at the boathouse are simply disinterested when you ask about trips. Every time you ask for something it feels like you are inconveniencing someone. 10/10 would not recommend. It takes 20 mins for drinks that have been ordered to be served to you. I don’t know what is up with this place but they seem to have forgotten that the sole purpose is to ensure customers have a good holiday. Whilst our room is fine the hotel communal spaces are tired and worn and need refurbing. Pool towels are not regularly restocked. Don’t bother going over to awali, it’s even more down market than heritage and the Savana restaurant is virtually inedible. Do not stay here. It is not a 5* experience.

I am not sure where to start to be honest but if you are looking for a 5* resort with 5* service then i would look elsewhere in Mauritius as this resort is not for you. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and when you arrive you get the wow factor but unfortunately that's where the good points stop. First of all, we were notified when the cases were in the room that one was damaged, but these were not damaged when I personally removed them from the carousel in the airport. When i spoke to the manager upon leaving i have never met someone so rude and abrupt. Regarding the stay we was given a number of a butler who would help us in our stay booking things his name was Melvin but i think we will call him the "No" Man. First night asked him to book us a table at a restaurant said "No" Fully booked so we went to said restaurant at 8pm was empty and got a seat straight away. Second day we tried to book a spa was met with the same answer "No" Fully booked" went to the spa got in straight away. asked for the tepinyaki that evening again told "No" bus spoke to the manager of restaurants who proceeded to get us a seat. Upon leaving the resort booked a premium taxi with melvin "Mr No" at 12 oclock we were still sat in reception at 12:45 with no pickup. Again spoke to the Manager who was rude and as helpful as a chocolate teapot. was told by reception manager that our taxi was paid for due to the inconvenience, but when we got to the next resort it had not been paid. We went fora few days to The four seasons resort which if your looking for 5* service i can highly recommend,

we are trying to contact the hotel about booking restaurants as suggested in numerous previous reviews we have read. The official " contact us" page on their hotel website doesn't seem to work ... we haven't had a response for 3 days???? and if you email fnbbookings@heritageawali.mu it won't send~???? any help would be gratefully received

Amazing complex had a great time with my wife and seven-year-old son, the food is fantastic at all the restaurants but a big shout out to O’Grill the food was fantastic and the service was even better

An amazing honeymoon at Heritage Le Telfair! We spent our honeymoon here and loved it. The hotel has beautiful, spacious grounds, amazing food and plenty of activities. Mauritius is such a beautiful island, and this was the perfect place to enjoy it. We also visited a couple of nearby resorts, but for us, none compared to Heritage. A special thank you to Noor, our hotel manager, who helped with every question about the hotel and island, gave us great recommendations and arranged activities for us. He made everything so easy. And a big thank you to Vinen at the beach bar! He quickly learned what we liked to eat and drink and often knew what we wanted before we even asked. Always smiling, polite and one step ahead - we loved his positive energy. The team also surprised us with a few lovely honeymoon gifts. We’ll keep those a secret so future honeymooners can discover the surprises for themselves! Those little touches made our stay even more special. Next time we visit Mauritius, it’s Heritage again, without a doubt. 100% recommended!
