Server Rajdip's composure and hospitality was just fantastic at Senso restaurant. The entire hotel has roughly 3-4 restaurants. A lot of options to choose from. Highly recommend this one joint in balaclava when you're visiting Mauritius. 5 stars forever.

Excellent experience! Everything was great from start to finish. The whole team was very kind, friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Vishal, Vimla, Issen, Kaussoom, Komal and Kavissen for their great service and hospitality. Everyone made us feel very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend this place! :)

This review is about Senso - The main buffet restaurant. Our stay was for 7 nights and this is the place most visited so this will be a long review . The day starts with you being greeted by the lovely host mostly Moupiya standing along with her manager Wesley who ensure that your day starts with a great positive vibe . During the service Cedric took care of our needs on the table everyday with a sweet smile and never complaining . All the service staff is very attentive to guests need and are always overburdened with so many demands but they continue their work without any frown . Two people who really were around us were Ram Gopal Sharma and Kanhaiya , always taking care of our smallest needs . Then comes THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE REVIEW - THE INDIAN FOOD FOR BREAKFAST:- We are Indians living in UAE and we are generally prolific travellers . Nowhere in the world or even within India for similar or higher hotels have we ever seen INDIAN BREAKFAST MENU CHANGING EVERY DAY for all the 7 days . Chef Jaywantee IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE KITCHEN STAFF I HAVE EVER MET - HER FOOD BRINGS TEAR TO YOUR EYES AS IT IS EXACTLY HOW YOUR MOTHER WOULD MAKE IT WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD . She would also tell you the next days menu and we actually looked forward to it for every breakfast . She along with Chef Suresh really make every day breakfast a new and fresh experience with Indian food on the counter but enjoyed by all nationalities ( I have waited in queue behind a lot of people to know this - so trust me ). The outside bar ( Sugarcane Bar ) is also amazing - They work in Tandem with Senso . Cocktail - Sugarcane Passion made by Mr Vinod is crazy - we had like 12 each from morning till night - Can’t say what happened next but it’s amazing . The service staff at the bar Mr Noah is so amazing and hard working that he would travel in the sand the whole day to cover 2 beaches and take care of everyone’s order . He is extremely hard working and customer oriented . Divya in the evening shift is very efficient and keeps you really engrossed by her conversation or by her care . Abhirup - though a trainee seems part of the team and is cutely sweet and charming . Their Supervisor Manish also helps them be the way they are and Kevin really makes the team complete . Though Mr Nandan runs the place with a warm smile but I think he has been able to create a perfect atmosphere only with the contributions of all concerned . One warning though - If you are trying to book a reservation in any of the 3 restaurants via the Instant service on your room phone , be prepared to be refused a reservation as these people on the phone refuse reservations without actually checking with the outlet . So just walk in and enjoy a great meal at any of the 3 speciality restaurants.
