Lagoon Attitude Mauritius

I hoped this hotel would live up to the images online and we were absolutely not disappointed. The hotel is stunning and the natural environmemt that it is surrounded by is breathtaking. The black volcanic rock against the turquoise sea is something that you just can't take your eyes off. The attention to detail in this hotel is outstanding, the grounds are beautiful with tropical planting which are both manicured and natural. The transition between different areas in the hotel is thoughtful and seamless. Where do I start with the food. Utterly delicious- the local Mauritian restaurant was such a treat- I can't remember the name of the lady who was front of house but she was incredible- so friendly and explained how the local dishes were cooked and gave the restaurant that additional authentic feel. The street food during the day in this area of the hotel was perfect- one of our favourite lunchtime spots with local food in a really lovely environment with a beer- just perfect. Choral was sensational- gourmet food with a relaxed vibe and professionally served- such a treat. We only got to go to Lemongrass once as it was closed during our second week- it was a taste sensation and would have loved to visit more than once. The buffet restaurant was great too. There was one stanout member of staff who looked after everyone in the evening for drinks. Henna - what can I say- she was utterly amazing. She looked after us, remembered details of what we liked and made us smile every day- she is an absolute credit to the hotel and we hope she will be there next year when we return. I absolutely loved this hotel - all the staff were amazing and I wish I could rememeber more names- will definitely do better next year. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at Lagoon Attitude. From the moment I arrived, the experience was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, with stunning surroundings and a peaceful vibe. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the food was delicious with a good variety of choices. What I appreciated most was the hospitality and attention to detail from the entire team. Everything was well organised, and I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend Lagoon Attitude to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable . 🌴☀️❤️

The hotel is located at the northern coast which we chose since there should be less wind in September. Sadly, the weather was mixed and it rained sometimes but we also got some good weather as well while it rained in other parts of the island. The hotel facility had many plants and palm trees and a lot of pretty birds. We mostly enjoyed the coral area since that’s were it was calmer and also less windy since there was a partitioning door to keep the sea breeze out. The hotel rooms were very well cleaned and generally nice and had a good size. However, especially the bathroom needs some renovation with the tiles. For example, there were holes in the tiles next to the mirror which were closed with silicone. The shower had typical signs of wear and tear and was sometimes leaking. The drinks and the food was delicious. We went to all 3 à la carte restaurants. We liked the coral restaurant best which is why we went there 3 times during our 11-day-stay. The food was amazing and the servers there are very friendly and quick with the service - refilling water glasses and asking if we needed anything else. We were served by Usha, Permal, Jerome and Akshay. The food at the main restaurant was also very good. Something I immediately recognized was that the food was very hot and not luke warm like in some other all-inclusive hotels. Also there were gluten-free and vegan options, although we didn’t try them. There was a great range of appetizers on small dishes. Also the gala night on Wednesdays and the Mauritian night on Saturdays are highly recommended. For breakfast you could get fresh egg dishes (scrambled, sunny side up, omelette and even eggs benedict) which were very tasty. We didn’t like the coffee from the coffee machines during breakfast too much. However the coffee from the bars was made with a portafilter machine and much better. For lunch we often went to Taba-J where we got a lot of tasty local street food. The staff everywhere was extraordinarily friendly. A small remark I’d like to make here is that some of the male staff (maybe 2-3 persons) only talked to my male partner when asking for our drink order etc. which irritated me a bit. I also felt like they were avoiding to look at me directly. The juice bar had very tasty juices but was not included in the all-inclusive package. One juice was priced at 300 rupees. There is a taxi service at the hotel. The taxi drivers are only allowed to transport hotel guests with their licenses which is why they often times wait for you to come back when they drive long distance with you. There was a price list which gave a lot of transparency. Our taxi driver Akshay was very nice and even told us some things about the island. I even asked him how to spot Mauritian vanilla at the market in Port Louis and he gave me some advice.

All of the members of Lagoon Attitude was super kind, attentive and made our stay the best honeymoon we could ever have asked for! Everything about the hotel was top notch, from variety and quality of food, the beautiful location, calm and relaxing atmosphere and nice and clean room! We want to give a special shoutout to Henna, for her attentive hospitality and always wearing her beautiful smile on her face! All the barmen was amazing, unfortunately we cannot remember names… but they were all so accommodating and great! The evening entertainment was through the roof quality, better than any entertainment we've seen in any other hotel (star performance excellence!!). Also a big shoutout to the animation team who always brought good vibes throughout the day. A little too windy at times, but that’s the work of the nature and of course not down to the hotel. Regardless, we loved every second!!! Will highly recommend! ..Until next time xx

We only had 5 nights at this hotel, but it has been great. The staff are very attentive and go out of their way to help. Special shout out to Henna who works the bar area each evening making sure guests get their drinks in a timely manner. The food has been good with all diets catered for (vegan, gluten free etc). Pool areas are well maintained and we never struggled to find a sunbed whatever the time of day.
