Le Jadis Beach Resort & Wellness Mauritius, managed by Banyan Tree

Really enjoyed our stay! one of the best experience overall from the serenity 9f the place, the staffs, friendliness, the meticular attention to detail of everyone..awesome experience. Tried the spa too which were soo relaxing. Special thanks to Astrid and Anushee for the signature massages. Highly recommended experience overall.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended * Very poor customer service and unprofessional management. * Far below the standards expected from a luxury resort. * The beach is not suitable for swimming. * Unexpected additional charges during dinner. * Lack of hospitality and concern for guest satisfaction. * Refused our request for early checkout and a refund for unused nights. * Ruined our special wedding anniversary trip. * Definitely not worth the price. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

It was good and relaxing. The therapists were welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Astrid and Anoushee.

We saved for our honeymoon, chose Le Jadis, and paid a significant premium for its "Premium All-Inclusive" package. We even checked with the hotel before we arrived. None of it mattered. "All-inclusive" in name only. Most of the menu, including basic food, came with mandatory surcharges. Here, "all-inclusive" means you pay again at the table. "Mostly-exclusive" would be more accurate. When I complained and asked for a refund of the surcharges, they only stopped charging from that point on. They refused to refund the days before because they "can't refund retrospectively". So the money they had already taken for an all-inclusive package that wasn't all-inclusive was simply kept. Apparently a refund only counts if it's for something that hasn't happened yet. Mould, leaks and a paint job. The ceiling leaked and the walls were mouldy for most of our stay. When I reported it, the hotel didn't fix it. They moved us to a downgraded room and simply painted over the mould. When we asked for help moving our belongings, a staff member told us: "We are not your slaves." On our honeymoon. The "private" pool. It was filthy, so filthy that stray dogs came in from the beach to eat things out of it. Blamed for their broken TV. The TV didn't work for the whole stay, and the screen literally said "aerial cable disconnected". The manager still blamed us. He said we'd disconnected the Wi-Fi (it runs on Ethernet) and removed the key card from the power slot (we never touched it). They fixed the antenna on our last day. The spa. An aggressive head massage pulled out my hair and left my scalp covered in whiteheads. The bathtub tap in our private hammam was broken too. Endless "courtesy checks". Staff kept calling to "check on us", which seemed pointless when none of the actual problems were being fixed. And then checkout. First they condescendingly offered a single night's refund and 5% off, but only if I signed an NDA and waived all claims from the stay. I refused. They then tried to charge me for the massage the spa had already agreed to waive, and tourist tax for days I wasn't even in the country. Sorting out their billing errors delayed our departure to the airport. It was one last insult. The bottom line: This was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we can never get it back. We spent our honeymoon reporting problems, arguing over bills and being blamed for the hotel's failures. A resort that asks guests to sign an NDA before it will give back a fraction of their money isn't one you can trust. If you're planning a honeymoon or any special occasion, book somewhere else. If you ignore this, check every line of your bill, photograph everything, and keep all communication in writing.

The wellness journey experience which I book via Deals.mu was amazing. From our arrival greeted by Niddhin (from Kerala) and who showed us the way and the spa facilities, the drop in the Hydro pool was such a nice time. Special thanks for the massage treatment delivered by Patma, Niddhin and Astrid who were very caring.
