St. Regis Le Morne Resort Mauritius

This was our eighth stay at The St. Regis Le Morne, Mauritius, which says everything about how much we love it there. And once again, we enjoyed our stay just as much as on our previous visits. We never tire of the resort’s sense of luxury, its immaculate grounds and the many wonderful amenities. The food was excellent, as always, in every restaurant we tried. Breakfast is always a real treat and a feast for the eyes. We enjoyed a little of everything, from European and Indian to East Asian cuisine, sometimes topped off with a glass of sparkling wine when celebrating. The themed buffets at Le Manoir were a first for us, as the restaurant usually offers an à la carte menu and a weekly Mauritian buffet. This time, we enjoyed Italian, French and Arabic evenings, and every buffet was fantastic, with an impressive variety of dishes, each seemingly more delicious than the last. We also spent a lot of time snorkelling in the lagoon opposite the resort, which is home to an incredible diversity of marine life. And let's not forget the sunsets, which are truly out of this world! We loved watching them from the Beach House, enjoying drinks and live music as the sun went down. If you're celebrating something special, I would highly recommend booking a private dinner on the beach. Lanterns guide you towards a beautifully laid table. There is a firepit and string lights. On each occasion we've done this, we've had the beach entirely to ourselves, making the atmosphere wonderfully peaceful and romantic. Another experience I would recommend is the champagne sabrage, where you get to open a bottle of champagne with a sword under the guidance of a butler. It's great fun and certainly an experience you won't forget! However, one of the main reasons we keep coming back is the warmth and kindness of the staff. From the baggage handlers and beach team to the butlers and restaurant staff, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of their way to accommodate us. They also made our birthday celebrations especially memorable. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone, with a special mention to Lucinda, Reena, Jeshika, Andrea, Ravi, Sharma, Manisha, Christele, Reetesh, Istika, Neetish, our long-time friend Sylvestre, Bavish, Benoit and Smitesh, as well as the many others who helped make our stay so special. We've already decided to return next year to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, and we can't wait to be back!

The Saint Regis hotel is a great family option. My wife, my daughter and I, have had an amazing time there. The service in general is of a high standard. Our butler ( Pooven ) is exceptional. He has been available, helpful and attentive throughout. Most importantly his friendliness and professionalism is a big part of our stay being very enjoyable. We booked a junior suite and were lucky to be upgraded to an ocean view junior suite. The room was élégant and practical. It was very spacious and well equipped, so the three of us felt at ease. The beach is so beautiful, just walking along the shore is magical, but you can enjoy it even more with extra activities like paddle boarding , kayaking, having fun on a pédalo etc… Otherwise, you can spend the whole day in the swimming pools without seeing to time pass. One is gigantic the other one tucked away with view on the lagoon. But what made the difference is the food option. My wife is vegetarian and celiac. Food is always a concern when we go on holiday. At the Saint Regis they have been very accommodating and helpful. There was always an option available for her. The Highlight was the diner we had at the restaurant Indya. Chef Malik and his team cooked and presented food that we will remember for a long time. It is a hotel I would genuinely consider going back to.

What a perfect location, with a prefect view and just happened to have great weather. The atmosphere was lovely, although a few noisy children around the buffet restaurant. The rooms were really really well appointed & kept clean. Now the service seemed a little lacking to start with, which was soon rectified. We also became aware of the local civil unrest where staff had to get home for nighttime curfew which caused the issues. We must make mention of the amazing sensitive KERVIN, one of the guys serving drinks on the beach. He couldn't do enough to get it right for us and others. ALISON the sommelier was really good at her job as well as flexible and approachable about all things wine!! The gym was well worth a visit & staff were fun during the complimentary classes. The Opera and music on the beach was a treat we didn't expect. I think that's all for now - time to start saving so we can go again sometime

My stay at The St. Regis Le Morne was nothing short of extraordinary. I travelled solo to celebrate my 40th birthday, and what made this experience so special wasn’t simply the beautiful resort or the luxurious suite — it was the exceptional people who made me feel genuinely welcomed, cared for and celebrated. Marie Michelle Adelaide, At Your Service Manager, deserves a very special mention. Her warmth, attentiveness and thoughtfulness began weeks before I even arrived at the resort. From our initial communication, she made me feel that my birthday was important to the team, and she ensured that my stay would be memorable. Her attention to detail and genuine warmth set the tone for everything that followed. Nikhil, my butler, was equally wonderful. He was thoughtful, attentive and always happy to help, making everything feel effortless. Alongside the rest of the butler team, he went above and beyond to make me feel special. They remembered my preferences, anticipated my needs and added thoughtful personal touches that made a real difference. Girish Dudhee, my butler, and Nea Shibchurn, my butler, also contributed to the exceptional level of care I received throughout my stay. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail helped make the experience feel personal rather than simply a service being delivered. Riad Soyfoo, Acting Butler Service Manager, also deserves recognition for his contribution to the wonderful hospitality I experienced. The birthday celebrations themselves were incredible. From the beautiful decorations and thoughtful surprises in my suite to the massage, afternoon tea, Bloody Mary ritual, sunset sabrage, stargazing and private cinema celebration, the team created a wonderful itinerary that made my birthday feel truly special. Even the smallest gestures — remembering my favourite cake, offering refreshments spontaneously and making sure I was comfortable by the pool — demonstrated how much pride the team takes in looking after its guests. What impressed me most was that the warmth never felt forced or transactional. I was travelling alone, yet I never felt overlooked. Instead, I felt welcomed, remembered and celebrated. The team struck that wonderful balance between being attentive and allowing me to enjoy my own space. Luxury hotels can offer beautiful rooms, excellent facilities and exquisite dining, but it is the people who turn a stay into a memory you carry home with you. The team at The St. Regis Le Morne did exactly that. Leaving was genuinely difficult because I had grown so fond of the people who had made my stay so special. I have travelled to many wonderful places, but this experience will remain particularly close to my heart. Thank you, Marie Michelle, Nikhil, Girish, Nea, Riad and the entire St. Regis team for reminding me how wonderful it feels to be so thoughtfully cared for.
