Tamassa Bel Ombre, Mauritius

A beautiful and peaceful location, although quite remote, with the nearest village around a 15-minute walk away. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, although the application of certain policies seemed inconsistent. On arrival at 10:00 am, we had just missed breakfast and had to wait until around 2:15 pm for our room. By comparison, friends who arrived four days later at 9:00 am were offered breakfast and given access to their room by 11:00 am. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a fantastic sea view, although it would benefit from some updating. The room telephone also worked intermittently. The grounds and general landscaping were very well maintained, with daily upkeep evident. There was an excellent range of facilities and activities, including a well-used spa and a good selection of scheduled activities. The pool handrail, however, was very wobbly and would benefit from being secured properly. We also found the pool water to be particularly cold. The buffet offered plenty of variety, with different themed menus each day, and the service in the dining area was excellent. I would like to give a special mention to some of the staff: Preetyma; Davrishnee, Edinho, Bradley, Stacey and the entertainment team. Overall, a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting, with well-maintained grounds, good facilities and excellent dining service. Some improvements to room maintenance, consistency of service, and pool facilities would further enhance the experience.

We are so happy that we chose Tamassa for our babymoon trip! We stayed for 4 nights, and the experience was absolutely amazing. From the beautiful property and beach to the thoughtful complimentary offers, Tamassa made our Mauritius trip even more special. We received several complimentary benefits, including an in-room celebration, a photoshoot, massage discounts, and more, which made our stay feel extra memorable. To begin with, when we arrived, we decided to spend our entire first day exploring the resort, and we are so glad we did! The property is huge, and there is so much to discover, especially the beach area. The beach is perfect for relaxing, spending quality time, enjoying the ocean, and watching beautiful sunsets. There is so much to do at Tamassa, including beach activities, games, and other experiences. If you don't dedicate enough time to exploring and enjoying the resort, you might miss out on a lot. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, we couldn't experience the boat activities or snorkeling. However, swimming in the ocean was incredibly refreshing, and we still had a wonderful time enjoying the beach and the resort's facilities. Coming to the food, we would definitely recommend booking at least a half-board package. Since there aren't many restaurants nearby outside the resort, having meals included in your package would be more convenient and cost-effective. We found the Burger Truck and Playa at the resort to be on the expensive side, so booking a package that includes meals would be a better option. The breakfast buffet was really good, with plenty of vegetarian options. This was a pleasant surprise for us, as vegetarian choices can sometimes be limited at resorts. We truly appreciated the variety available at breakfast. The staff deserve a special mention. They were always helpful, informative, and ready to assist us with any service we needed. Everyone was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made our stay even more comfortable. Even after our stay had ended, the Guest Experience Manager continued to take care of our queries, and we really appreciated that level of attention and support. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Mauritius, and Tamassa played a huge role in making our trip so memorable. We are genuinely happy with our choice and would love to return someday. Our day package at **Tamassa Hotel** with my family was truly an unforgettable experience. It was our first time visiting Tamassa, and we honestly have no regrets. From the delicious food and refreshing drinks to the warm hospitality, everything was simply amazing. A special thank you to **Chef Edinho** for the lovely surprise cake and for making our experience even more special. And of course, a huge thank you to the entire team for their kindness, professionalism, and extraordinary hospitality. My family and I truly enjoyed every moment of our day at Tamassa. Very nice place with big swimming pools.The food were very delicious especially the burger truck. The staff were very welcoming especially Christelle, Yaseen, Dhruv Had a nice experience. Highly recommended

Our 3rd times at Tamassa Htl... Celebrating 40yrs in 2016,then Father and mother in law birthday in March and Sep 2026...Really loves this Htl it's staff members and everything... room is very beautiful and cleanliness top food is very delicious and many varieties tamassa is very nice and all service is very excellent thank you for Rebecca restaurant and Mrs dishad for manager housekeeping and thank you Ms kajaal at towels cabana she is very friendly helping caring and I definitely will come back next year 2027 tamassa is 5 start hotel
