Aloft Playa del Carmen

I stayed at Aloft Playa del Carmen in May 2026, and my experience was genuinely amazing. I loved virtually everything about this hotel, but what really made it stand out was the exceptional hospitality and the wonderful people who made my stay so memorable. Although there was an issue with my original room, Anna, the reservations manager, was incredibly kind, accommodating and helpful in arranging a better room for me. Her attitude immediately made a difference. It’s a real pleasure to encounter someone who genuinely cares about their guests and wants them to have the best possible experience. The breakfast was exceptionally good, and the service throughout the hotel was fantastic. The waitresses and waiters were warm, attentive and genuinely caring. Everywhere was exceptionally clean, which added to the overall feeling of comfort and quality. The rooftop pool and bar were particular highlights. There was a lovely atmosphere, delicious cocktails and fantastic service. Marcello was one of the standout members of the team and contributed enormously to making the experience so enjoyable. I also looked forward to my shrimp tacos on the rooftop, which were absolutely delicious! What I loved most was the overall feeling of the place. It was fun, warm, welcoming and full of atmosphere. The hospitality was among the best I’ve experienced in a very long time, and that is something I value enormously when travelling. A special thank you to Anna for her kindness and professionalism, and to Marcello and the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable. Aloft Playa del Carmen delivered an experience that was so much more than just a hotel stay. It was the people, the food, the rooftop atmosphere and the genuine warmth of the service that made it so special. I would happily return and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming stay in Playa del Carmen. An absolutely fantastic experience!

I had a wonderful 7 night stay at Aloft Playa Del Carmen. The check-in was very good and smooth. The pictures of the rooftop pool did not do it justice. It was lovely. The staff at the pool were friendly and efficient. The breeze on the rooftop and the infinity pool was incredible. Special mention to the front desk staff: Valerie during the day and Jesus in the evening. Valerie was so friendly and helpful with recommendations and Jesus was not only friendly but especially concerned and helpful when another guest hurt herself outside of the hotel. I was upgraded to a balcony room which was cleaned everyday, everything I needed and spacious. I will definitely be back.

What a great find. The location is phenominal just a 5 min walk to the main area with all the bars, restaurants and small boho shops. Literally couldn’t ask for a better location. Hotel is clean, bright and well organised. Staff are friendly. Rooms are lovely. Roof terrace is amazing with an infinity pool. And even the gym is great, some real thought put into the equipment which is unusual for a hotel. Overall this is an amazing hotel, great value for money and we will definitely be back.

I'm on my 8th night at this property and I have 1 more night before going back home. The hotel is very well located, 3 blocks from the beach, 1 block from famous 5th Avenue and has grocery store and restaurants within the same plaza building. My room was one of the splash suites, I really enjoyed it. The staffs are amazing, from Ana at the breakfast buffet, to Marcelo at the pool bar and Abraham my room attendant, everyone was welcoming and I had an amazing time. Thank you for making my vacation so memorable!
