I’ll start with the one positive part of our vacation: a huge shout-out to the amazing ladies at the Kids Club! The kids absolutely loved going and were constantly asking when they could go back. The staff were wonderful, made the children feel welcome, and gave parents peace of mind knowing their kids were safe and having a blast. Hats off to you ladies! You were truly the highlight of this resort! Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was extremely disappointing. We travelled as a large group and paid full price for what felt like half a resort. Much of the property was closed for renovations that were clearly running behind schedule. Despite these significant closures, guests were still expected to pay full price without receiving the amenities or services advertised. The main pool was closed for our entire stay. Every single day, we were told it would be opening, but it never did. This left everyone crowded around one small pool with only one bar operating. Getting a drink was an adventure in itself! Although there was a waiter circulating around the pool, it could take 45 minutes just to receive one drink. Bar service was extremely limited, and even after requesting additional poolside service, nothing improved. The dining experience was just as frustrating. With most restaurants closed, we were left with the buffet and only two other restaurants to choose from. Restaurant service was painfully slow, with excessive wait times. The buffet offered very little variety, and apparently even bacon at breakfast was a luxury, as portions were limited! Room service was no better. Receiving a plate with approximately eight French fries was almost laughable, and the steak was an absolute disaster. As for beverages, there was no proper juice available, just Tang! Forget enjoying a nice tropical umbrella drink by the pool, because those were nowhere to be found either. Not exactly what you expect from an all-inclusive tropical vacation. The beach was practically unusable due to the overwhelming amount of sargassum and the terrible smell that came with it. While I understand seaweed is a natural occurrence, it was yet another advertised resort amenity we couldn't enjoy. To make matters worse, we were being bitten overnight in our hotel rooms, leaving our ankles and feet covered in bites. Not exactly the kind of souvenir anyone wants to bring home from vacation! There were so many other issues throughout our stay that I could go on and on. The lack of service, limited amenities, constant closures, poor food quality, and overall disorganization made this an incredibly disappointing experience. My biggest issue is that we paid full price for a resort that was only partially operational. If extensive renovations are taking place and major amenities are unavailable, guests should be informed beforehand and pricing should reflect what is actually being offered. We booked an all-inclusive vacation expecting relaxation, good food, enjoyable amenities, and reasonable service. Instead, we spent much of our time waiting, asking for basic services, and being disappointed. My advice to anyone considering this resort: lower your expectations considerably, especially if you're travelling with a family or a large group. The Kids Club staff deserve five stars, but unfortunately, the resort itself fell far short of what was advertised and what we paid for.
We just spent a week here for our wedding with family and friends. Everyone had a blast. After visiting Mexico 10 times and our wedding being number 11 here is our review. Beach was beautiful well maintained, beautiful for walking collecting shells watching sun rise. Like everywhere on this coast line bring water shoes. for the ocean is on a reef and can be a little hard on feet in the water. Buffett was on par with other hotel Buffett’s kids had no issue eating and always something good to eat. The el la carts were awesome every restaurant we ate at I was very impressed with the food. Our room was always clean and well looked after. We loved the swim up room with kids and the room service with young kids was key. The hotel grounds were well kept. Always clean and tidy and well looked after. Only downfall was the amount of construction around the property as they are upgrading. Would love to come back when everything is operational I’m sure it’s awesome. Even with the construction the staff were doing their best and we had no issues. What we would have wanted was out of their control and will soon be completed. Wedding. Which is why we chose this resort. I looked at soo many hotels looking for what we found at dreams tulum. The secret garden and dreams garden was everything and more then we could have dreamed. It was like something out of a movie. The way everything came togather at the end was awesome. If planning a wedding here know what you want do your homework and be clear in explaining what you want. the rest Ilse Coyoc our wedding coordinator will take care of. I would recommend her any day. You do your part and she will do hers. Thank you again to dreams tulum for an awesome week for our wedding. Even in a construction zone they made our week perfect. Like everything in life you can look at a couple negative things but here they were so small and there was sooooo much good would highly recommended this hotel. @dreamstulum you can bring us back anytime would love to see it once complete and everything is open. Give me a call lol. Cheers to all the staff and workers. Thank you 😊
Many restaurants and specialties were closed due to remodeling. It seems it would look nice when it is done. People are nice, service is good and places are very clean
Great rooms, very friendly staff but half resort was closed including one pool and half the restaurants. Causing long wait times
Lots of construction happening around the resort although it's a beautiful property. The food was ok and a lot of the restaurants were closed.
