Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa

The food is terrible!!! The only decent restaurant they had was the Asian restaurant and it was only opened 1 day out the week. Couldn't even find anything at the buffet to our liking. Took room service over an hour to come every night. Racoons all over the resort in broad daylight as well as all night. Not much entertainment options. Would not recommend!

Dreams resorts and spa in Tulum is over hyped. The food and drinks are nasty. The have a family of raccoons on the resort. Also have stray cats. You can't even be comfortable by the pool or anywhere without the racoons, iguana popping up. Some of the staff was unfriendly. I got bit by so many mosquitos it's crazy. Also the restaurants don't open up until 6 pm. So you had to order room service and that was a hit or miss. My overall experience was horrible.

My partner and I went here sept 2026, and it’s beautiful and we had a great time. However, food choices throughout the day are quite limited, the stricter dress code for a beach resort was quite infuriating, and limited activities to do throughout the day made it a little boring. I understand half the resort is closed for renovations, but this wasn’t advertised before we booked. The biggest issue we had during our time is the constant and aggressive nagging of marketing. Everywhere you go they are constantly hounding you to hear their sales pitches, buy things, or do things. It’s very pushy and annoying. I’m just trying to enjoy my vacation, I do not want to hear your 90 minute sales pitch over breakfast.

My daughters had a great time and they enjoyed all the activities they got to do.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and very beautiful place. 1/2 the hotel is under renovation and closed, which doesn’t say anything about that when booking. I wish they had more perks for Preferred members and showed cases it. We had a swim out hotel, which was amazing! El Patio was a great restaurant! What left a bad taste in our mouth was A couple items went missing from our room after the first night. My husband‘s harley hat, JBL headphones and some pesos. We thought they’d show up in our belongings somewhere. But no, they were gone. The buffet was good, made my son go out of his comfort zone! I don’t think we’d come back but had an awesome time with you guys!
