From the moment you step into the RIU, the VIP service you receive is exceptional! The staff is amazing, friendly, and always ready to help, making you feel welcome from the very beginning. This was our fourth visit to RIU Latino, and we will definitely keep coming back! The beautiful beach, comfortable rooms, and delicious food offer everything you need for a wonderful getaway. But what truly makes the experience unforgettable is the outstanding service and incredible atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for making every visit so special. We can’t wait to return! ❤️

Will never stay at another Riu worst experience ever bought cigars in their store and then was told couldn’t smoke outside!

What started as a great trip turned to a bittersweet experience. Although the hotel facilities, the beach, overall cleanliness, entertainment, activities, most of the restaurants, buffet staff and food was very good to excellent the human factor mentioned in the following incident ruined it. The reason we dont recommend the hotel is due to a lack of help from some front desk employees when we originally forgot our phone in the ladie’s room (adjacent to the sports bar). Unfortunately, it was never returned to the front desk. Long story short, the front desk staff was reluctant to help, we got false information from one of them regarding the sports bar outside camera. We were told it was a smoke detector and we had to prove him wrong with a photo. It was very hard to get employee reviews from the camera (they would not allow us to look at the footage) and ultimately we strongly presume our phone was stolen by one or many employees. We are not saying this lightly. When we were finally able to track the phone 1.5 days after the fact (we could not access the tracking tool before that) we saw that it stayed 1.5 days in the sports bar. After insisting at the front desk for a search, a limited one was conducted (without success) in the bar with an employee. Not being an FBI search style, the phone was not found so we went to have breakfast right after. We used the tracking tool again 30 mins later and then it showed that the phone was moving to the other Riu hotel nearby. We rushed to the front desk and asked for a quick transport to the other hotel and it was refused. We were told to call a taxi….. We lost time and we lost contact with the phone for good about 10 mins later. We have evidence of this with screenshots. When we asked to review the 2 cameras in the sports bar we were told they had already helped enough. When we inquired about filing a police report, we were told to go to Cancun. I did some research and we could do it online…. A front desk employee also had the nerve to tell us it could be a guest staying in a room over the sports bar who could have it…. Come on !!! What are the chances that in a hotel of more than 600 rooms our phone would be just there…. And that the same guest would now be in the other Riu close by with our phone…. Even the turistic police at the beach did not believe the employee statement. From this bittersweet experience we don’t doubt that most of employees are honest working people, but some are not. Others should have helped more if they are in customer service. We also found that lifeguards were on their cell phones a lot instead of looking at the beach and not at videos…. The hotel will likely respond that they did try to help us and that they are sorry for our loss, that it was our fault that we forgot the phone in the first place and that employee honesty is their core value and that they will use our comments to improve .. bla..bla..bla.. but based on our experience you can draw your own conclusion…. What started as something forgotten turned to a theft plain and simple. Make sure your can track your phones or tablets quickly and that you have proper data backups…. We also had to get another phone and incurred a cost not reimbursed by our travel insurance. So make sure of what would happen to you in the same situation. Also, remember that you can file a police report online at Fiscalia General del Estado de Quintana Roo and not spend money and vacation time going to and from Cancun. For all this we don’t recommend the hotel.

RIU Latino – Relaxing Adults-Only Getaway We were a group of moms looking for a relaxing, adults-only vacation, and we found exactly what we were looking for at RIU Latino. 🏨 Hotel & Rooms The resort is beautiful, and the entire property is kept extremely clean. The staff are constantly cleaning, and as other reviews have mentioned, the property is truly spotless. We requested two rooms, each with two queen beds. Those rooms weren't available when we first arrived, but the staff were wonderful about getting us into the correct rooms the following day. We really appreciated how helpful and accommodating they were. Our rooms had beautiful partial ocean views, which were perfect for us. We could see the entrance to the nightclub from our rooms and watch people arriving when it opened at night, but we were never bothered by the noise. Our location gave us a great view without sacrificing the peaceful atmosphere we wanted. 🎶 Entertainment There is always something going on and always something to do. We really enjoyed having so many options without feeling like we had to participate in everything. The layout of the resort is also excellent. The restaurants, lobby, pools, and other common areas are conveniently centralized, making it very easy to get around. 🏖️ Beach The beach is beautiful and was one of our favorite parts of the resort. It was enjoyable for both walking and swimming, and there were plenty of umbrellas available when we wanted to relax. The resort uses tractors to remove seaweed from the beach in the mornings, which did a great job of keeping the beach clean and enjoyable throughout the day. ☕ Morning Coffee This deserves its own section because morning coffee was a highlight for us! The sports bar doubles as a coffee shop in the mornings, so you can grab a latte or cappuccino and sit by the ocean to enjoy it. There really isn't a better way to start the day. 🍳 Food Breakfast Buffet Fantastic! The made-to-order omelets were a definite highlight. We also loved the make-your-own Bloody Mary station. There is a large variety of breakfast options, including gluten-free choices, so everyone in our group was able to find something they enjoyed. À La Carte Restaurants One of the things we really appreciated is that reservations are NOT needed. The restaurants are first-come, first-served. We usually arrived between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. and didn't have to wait. One evening we arrived after 6:00 and there was a wait, so getting there a little earlier definitely helped. There is a good variety of restaurants, and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed: Kulinarium Milan Steakhouse We did not try Geisha because we were told that they cook with MSG. My only suggestion would be for Geisha to offer a few MSG-free menu options so that more guests can enjoy it. 🏊 Pools I love that all of the pools have different personalities. The best part is that you can spend your time at the pool that matches the vacation vibe you're looking for. We spent most of our time at the quiet pool, which is closest to the water slides, and it had the perfect relaxed atmosphere for our group. There are also pools with completely different vibes, including swim-up bars with a louder, more energetic party atmosphere and areas focused on sports and activities. Even though we were relatively close to one of the swim-up bars, we never heard the music or activities from our pool. That made it easy to enjoy the quieter atmosphere while still having access to everything else the resort offers. 🌟 Staff Shout-Outs The staff really helped make our vacation special. Pool Bar: Calan Thank you to all of you for making our stay even more enjoyable! ⭐ Overall RIU Latino is a beautiful, clean, and extremely well-maintained adults-only resort with excellent staff, great entertainment, a beautiful beach, delicious food, and plenty to do. There are definitely areas of the resort with more of a party atmosphere, but that's actually one of the things we appreciated most. You just need to find the area that matches the vibe you're looking for. For our group of moms looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway, RIU Latino delivered exactly what we wanted. We could relax by the quiet pool, walk on the beach, enjoy morning coffee by the ocean, have a great meal, or join in the entertainment whenever we wanted. It gave us the flexibility to make the vacation as relaxing—or as lively—as we wanted it to be.

Hello, I’d like to say that this is the best resort we’ve ever visited. The food is excellent, the evening entertainment is wonderful, and the poolside contests are great fun. Above all, the staff are smiling, attentive, professional, and friendly.
