Riu Ventura

Stayed for 10 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. The room was clean. However the hotel is across from a sewage plant therefore there can be quite a smell. They do try to make this go away with air freshener however I found for the first 2 to 3 days it tainted the food. The buffet food could be a little more varied. We didnt try the al a carte restaurants. Found some staff more friendlier than others. Also had a wash and blow dry at the spa which was very good. All in all not sure we would return.

Very beautiful resort. Adult only pool was great! Shows were ok. Mexican food was very good although Steak House was phenomenal. Great customer service. Rooms very clean and nice.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the RIU Ventura!! The resort was clean and very well maintained. At all times there were staff members maintaining the open spaces shared by the guests. The rooms were clean and restocked daily. The entertainment staff were precious!! They were not only appealing to the adults but also to the children of all ages. I came with my16 and 17 year old nieces and the staff remembered their names and made it a point to include them. Whether it was beach volleyball, bingo, or water aerobics they made everyone feel excited to participate and included! I am not a buffet style restaurant fan but I must say the buffet at the resort was better than any I have had in the past. They provided so many options and nothing I tried was bad. Looking forward to returning and bring my husband and children for a fun family vacation!! The energy there was family oriented and low key. Highly recommend for a family vacation!

Excellent all around. Clean, spacious, the staff are exceptionally friendly. Food is good as well. The only two items I would change are: better cleaning of the seaweed that washes up on the beach. Getting into the water was tough and the smell was bad. The second opportunity is keeping the party music a bit lower at night. We were on the 12th floor and could easily hear music up to 1am.

The resort was beautiful & clean. The bed was very comfy. Beautiful view. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves and are planning to return.
