Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club

Did not have hot water our entire trip, I paid for an additional room because we needed to take showers and they did not let me check into that room or give me a refund. Our room flooded due to the shower the first day we were there. The tv did not work properly. The food is not good. It was my birthday and we missed excursions due to not being able to take showers. I do not recommend this resort

Our stay at Secrets Tulum was very relaxing and staff was great, even though it rained everyday. Shoutout to our concierge (Nataly), waitress ( Carolina), Bartender (Carlos), and all the staff we encountered. Everyone, made our stay comfort and pleasant. Will definitely be coming back!

We were greeted in the lobby upon arrival with Champaign and warm introductions to the hotel staff and a tour of the facilities by our personal concierge Liliana who is PHENOMINAL. The other staff members were all fun to be around and helpful in every way to make our stay exciting and pleasurable. Our room was exceptional in cleanliness, design and comfort, except for the air conditioning... I like it 🥶 so take a fan or pick one up in town. It only goes down to 20C/68F but very seldom felt that cool, Humidity I guess was a factor. There are several resturants onsite with delicious food. Drinks were exceptional for an all inclusive. Give Carlos a raise!! He was amazing! The offered excursions were ok but not my Tea as I have traveled to Mexico many times and have had the opportunity to have been able to have private experiences with several locals who took me to the places you dont get to see unless you know someone there. All in all this is a Jungle resort, not a beach resort. If you want beach front, go to Secrets Akumal. We visited that hotel as well... Chefs kiss to that resort... Its a bit more expensive though. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the secrets beach club a few minutes away and to many other destinations. We did some walking around the local zone. Not recommended for most travelers. Tulum needs some cleanup efforts made but thats not a refelction of this hotel. Everything was clean and well maintained. There is a couple big pools at the ground level, a medium sized pool on the roof deck with a bar and 2 other smaller private sized pools nearby on the roof with waiter service available. I had a private romatic dinner set up by our concierge as a surprise for my girls 50th birthday on the rooftop gazebo. The waiter, Jose was exceptional, He was friendly, professional and on point with his service. The meal, sous vide beef and lobster was to die for! I cant describe enough. Overall, this was deffinantly a trip to remember.

**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Stay at Secrets Tulum** We had a fantastic stay at Secrets Tulum and would happily return. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and spacious, with stunning pools that resemble small cenotes and create a relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The rooms were large, comfortable, and spotless. Our only suggestions would be a bit more lighting in the bathroom, which felt quite dark at times, and a few extra hangers in the wardrobe. We did have an issue with our first room, which had no cold water in the shower and some daytime noise outside, but reception handled it quickly and moved us without any hassle. Their service was excellent. The food was very good overall. Lunch could have offered a little more variety, but the chefs were happy to accommodate requests. We especially enjoyed the *pescado al mojo de ajo* and fried salmon they prepared for us. Our favourite restaurants were **Jasmine** and **Portofino**. A special thank you to **José at Portofino**, whose friendly and enthusiastic service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We also enjoyed the spa's jacuzzi and whirlpools, which were very relaxing, although we found the spa treatments and massages quite expensive. The beach club was lovely, although the beach itself was affected by sargassum during our stay, which is obviously beyond the hotel's control and depends on the season. The location is excellent, with attractions such as Casa Tortuga and Xel-Há nearby. We used the InDrive app to get around, which was affordable and efficient. Overall, we highly recommend Secrets Tulum. The staff genuinely go the extra mile to make guests happy, and their warmth and professionalism made our holiday special. We loved Tulum and look forward to coming back. 🌴☀️❤️

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. However, the property does lack the beach views and overall atmosphere you would expect from a hotel located near the ocean. On the positive side, there are plenty of pools and bars, making it easy to find a comfortable spot to relax without feeling crowded. Unfortunately, the dining experience was a major disappointment. The food at the restaurants was some of the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel. The only meal I found enjoyable was the breakfast buffet, which was decent.
