Radisson Resort Ruza Vjetrova

Great views, but very disappointing service The hotel has beautiful views and good facilities, but unfortunately the service and communication really let it down. WhatsApp messages were repeatedly ignored, meaning we constantly had to go back to reception to chase up problems. Our room had no air conditioning and a broken fridge. We reported this after dinner and spent hours going back and forth until after midnight, only to be told the air conditioning couldn’t be fixed. When we asked to move rooms, we were initially offered a downgraded room, which we refused. We were then given a similar room, but were told we would have to move back the next day once our original room was repaired. It still wasn’t fixed, so we had to go through the whole process again. There was no help with luggage and very little apology or acknowledgement. The same lack of communication happened when we asked to change a dinner voucher to lunch and when we requested a taxi — both requests were ignored until we physically went to reception to chase them. There was also a wedding during our stay, with large areas of the hotel closed off without prior warning when booking. We were later asked to move because the hotel wanted to use the area we were in. The facilities and views are good, but the constant faffing, poor communication and lack of basic courtesy made the stay unnecessarily stressful. Most of these issues could have been avoided with better communication and simply handling things properly the first time.

The hotel is in a stunning location with beautiful views and a private beach. The surrounding nature is largely untouched, with impressive mountains and charming local villages, making it a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, there is no designated smoking area, so guests tend to smoke throughout the resort. This was the biggest drawback of our stay, as it was often quite disturbing. The lifeguard was hardly noticeable during our visit. It would be reassuring if they regularly checked the children's pool, even briefly, to ensure safety. The food was excellent, and the dining staff were lovely, friendly, and hardworking. However, it was disappointing that coffee and tea were not available during the evening meal, unless purchased separately. Only water and a few payable drinks were offered. One safety concern was that someone mowing the lawn left a petrol container and a lawnmower in front of the building for the entire weekend. With so many children around and the hot, dry weather, this seemed quite careless and potentially dangerous. Overall, we had a great holiday. The staff worked hard, the resort was kept very clean, and the natural surroundings were beautiful. With a few small improvements, this could be an exceptional destination.

Beautiful stay, but a disastrous aftermath – Management breaks promises! We spent our holiday at this resort in May. The resort itself and the local staff are generally really great. However, on the day of our departure, a major issue occurred: the hotel staff misplaced our ID documents, which caused us to miss our flight and incur significant extra costs (new flights, car rental rebooking, etc.) amounting to over €860. The manager on site, Mr. Vukic, was initially very polite, apologized multiple times, and explicitly promised that the hotel would cover all the expenses. We submitted the receipts and documents via email immediately afterward. The problem: For weeks, neither Mr. Vukic nor the general management has responded to my emails or reminders. They are simply ignoring the issue. If you make a mistake, you have to stand by it. Such behavior is completely unworthy of a supposedly upscale resort. Until this financial damage is settled, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place. Very disappointing.

Guest hospitality and comfort are incredible.

Drawing on my own professional experience in the hotel industry and experience from visiting different places, I can confidently say that Ruza Vjetrova is a truly exceptional resort. The breathtaking setting and overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility are simply unmatched. The staff are consistently professional, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure every guest feels welcome. The entire resort is impeccably organized and thoughtfully maintained. The rooms are warm, inviting, spotlessly clean, and boast spectacular views. Both breakfast and dinner offer an impressive selection of fresh, delicious dishes that cater to a wide variety of tastes. Ruza Vjetrova is a place where everyone can find something to enjoy. Ruza Vjetrova holds a special place in my heart, which is why I have been returning for more than 15 years. Every visit reminds me why it remains one of my favorite places in the world. Quite simply, heaven on earth.
