Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine

Our stay at the aquamarine has been one of the best holidays we have had. The staff have been nothing short of amazing and a real credit to the resort. There's so much going on during the day and evening you really can do as little or as much as you want. It's clean and well maintained. The buffet restaurant has been the best we have ever been to the choice has been brilliant and you can eat something different everyday. There are a number of al a carte restaurants you can book which again has been a real pleasure to try out. Our room was perfect very clean and had everything you could ask for. We didn't spend much time down the beach but looked very nice lots of sunbeds and shade. Around the pool there are loads of sunbeds and shades for everyone at no point has it been full and a problem finding one. We have met some great staff and had some laughs with them. 2 weeks here really isn't long enough. One thing is if you are like my wife a tea drinker bring your own teabags they are a big coffee drinker but their tea are specially ones either herbal and black tea. We did have a mini bar in the room whilst the water was refilled Unfortunately soft drinks and beer wasn't but really only a small inconvenience. We have been biten a fair bit by Mossies but unfortunately that can't be helped we did bring antihistamin tablets and bite creams a definitive most. The temperature and uv are very high and easy to burn so bring plenty of suncreams and after sun our aftersun had bite repellant which seem to help. I would definitely recommend aquamarine it is a massive resort and they have road trains to get around which makes it easier and they always helped if we weren't sure how to get somewhere. The maps are colour coded so you know which road train to catch. Enjoy

We had a lovely 2 weeks here. We booked all the restaurants 10 days before we arrived and booked some once arrived. Every restaurant was lovely. Buffet restaurant was good but usual issue of food not being very hot. All the staff we came across were friendly and made sure you felt looked after. The only issue we had was lobby bar at night the queue was always quite long. Special shout out to the waitress around the pool bar, sorry i can't remember her proper name began with a L. She was so lovely with us. The entertainment team were great and for 1st time ever we got involved in a few activities. Plenty of entertainment at night aswell. Rooms are in need of an upgrade especially the bathrooms. This was the only negative we could give.

Lot of seaweed in the ocean and on the beach during our stay, very unpleasant and impossible to go to swim. Thus, swimming pools were overoccupied. Also, we pre-order 2 weeks before trip list of restautants for dinner but only 3 out of 7 were reserved for us. Bahia now belongs to World of Hyatt, we were notified in January that all our points will be transferred but it was never done, very disappointing! Since Hyatt took over, room supplies were cut, and food choice in buffet was visibly cut compare to previous years.

We had the most amazing time during our stay. 3rd year going to Aquamarine and we are never let down. Food was fantastic, the room was clean and fresh when we arrived. Housekeeping were great. The main reason we come back year on year is the staff. From the friendly and super helpful. Always greeted with a smile in the buffet restaurant, the guys in there are so lovely especially Katrina. The entertainment team are amazing Isaac, José, Louis, Gabriel, viannelis, Yalanny. Such an amazing, energetic, kind team. The pool bar guys are great and make the best cocktails. As do the lobby bar guys. We enjoyed every second of our stay and we will be back.

Excellent resort. Good people good restaurants. One of my best experience all employees are A++. Especial mention to Angelita from room service. Joel and karina from aquarium buffet.
