Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana Resort & Spa

We had a mixed experience at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana. The resort itself has potential, and what really made our stay enjoyable was the staff. So many of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. World Cafe had our favorite breakfast, and Coco Cafe was definitely a favorite for the coffee, pastries, ice cream, and much-needed A/C. Unfortunately, there were several things that took away from the experience. Check in was very disorganized and took up a significant portion of our first day. The A/C was probably our biggest frustration. Our room never cooled properly, even after having someone come check it, and we eventually had to ask for a fan. Several restaurants were also extremely hot, with even the employees visibly sweating. The restaurant selection also felt limited because not everything was open, and the app wasn't always accurate about what was available. The drinks could also use improvement, the sodas frequently tasted flat, and some of the alcoholic drinks tasted watered down. Overall, the staff was definitely the highlight of our trip and deserves recognition for how hard they worked to make guests happy. With better organization, improved A/C, more consistent restaurant availability, and better beverage quality, the overall experience could be significantly better.

Let me start by saying that this place is a true Dream! The cleanliness of the resort was top notch! The beach was beautiful, not filled with brown seaweed like other beaches were. With a very friendly staff and food that is delicious I would and am highly recommending this resort to anyone who wants to go to Punta Cana area! Dreams Macao at Macao Beach is the place to be!

Lovely resort, lots of choices for dinner. Would highly recommend trying them all because they were all very good. Privilege club was well worth it, access to breakfast with an amazing few, food cooked to order and drinks were even better than the standard ones. Rooms were big and very modern, they had everything you needed in them. Staff were always on hand when needing something and overall top experience all round. It was also very lovely to meet the managers of the resort peronsally at the guest and managers moments event. Really did add a personal touch to the experience, we met a lovely lady called Tairi who gifted us a lovely spa treatment that we won in the raffle, we were going home the next day and she managed to go out of her way to make sure we enjoyed the experience. Thank you so much it was amazing. Omar was also on hand from the moment we checked in until we checked out, anything we needed during our stay he sorted and met all our needs and really looked after us.

I recommend Dreams Macao Punta Cana. We did the preferred club and I have been very spoiled with having a butler this week and excellent wait staff and housekeeping! This place is so clean and well maintained! Beach is very beautiful and clean also! It was good and it was fun! We have met some very nice couples down here and the bartenders and entertainment staff our awesome!! They remember our names and ask about our lives and engage with us whenever they see us around.

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the service and the food to the unbearable heat in the restaurants, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. What bothered me most was how poorly some of the staff handled their jobs. I would never recommend this hotel. I’ve stayed at much better resorts. The place may look beautiful, but that’s about it.
