Grand Bavaro Princess

I've traveled extensively — 43 countries, more than 21 resorts across the globe — and our stay at Grand Bávaro Princess in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, was the worst resort experience of my life. Do not go to this Place; there are better Resorts (Hard Rock Cafe, Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino) in Punta Cana. 1. Room lockout (September 12, 2026): Our room key cards were disabled, and the door lock simultaneously failed to open. We were left waiting outside our room for more than 2.5 hours with 3-year-old son . Security did not arrive to resolve the issue until approximately 1 hour after it was first reported. 2. Food poisoning: Both my wife and I became ill during the stay, consistent with food or beverages served at the resort. 3. Housekeeping failures: Our room was not cleaned without repeated requests on our part. 4. Missing basic amenities: We were not provided sufficient towels despite multiple requests, were asked multiple times for blankets, and had no water bottles available we needed to repeatedly ask guest services. — a significant issue given we were traveling with a 3-year-old. 5. No accessible resolution process: There was no way to reach guest services by phone. Every issue required physically traveling by shuttle to the opposite side of the resort, and the shuttle itself was unreliable, often taking 20–25 minutes to arrive and frequently overcrowded. In total, we had to visit reception 5 separate times to get any resolution. 6. Pattern of concern: I have also seen other guests describe similar food poisoning experiences

If you expect a 5* resort or even 4* this is Not it!! At best a mediocre 3 star. The only way it has a 5 star rating is because it does ‘offer’ all the facilities and checks boxes on that. Brazilian… wouldn’t serve the meat to my dog!! Cold sides and hideous service. Zen… the best by far but would you want to do it every night no sadly. Hunters. Pretty good esp if you pay extra and get the tomohawk. Sides not the best. Sports bar… 1 hour waiting for food, gave up! Italian great food and service but menu options limited /unavailable. Buffet just avoid it! Terrible Now the rooms… tired, need a Reno, we paid for ocean view… could see it in the distance! Stained sheets. Gross bathrooms, functional. Diamond club pool crowded, no servers around the pool, cocktails all taste the same. Towels thin and gross with stains and holes in. Beach full of seaweed, they do clear it or try but the ocean is full. The butlers of diamond club. Gorge.had no interest, Felix made up for them both. But nevertheless didn’t add a huge value! The biggest learning curve here is the management team. THEY DO NOT CARE! This is our second Royalton vacation and it will be our last. We tried to speak to someone before arrival failed. We reached out to corporate and general manager no one did anything. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and a birthday. No acknowledgment, or support to try do something special. I see all the positive reviews and I can only think these others have not experience real 5* hotels!! Service is what brings you back to hotels over anything else. Never again! Don’t trust this place! It’s not worth your money!! Unless you have very low expectations! Everyone around us was saying the same. We made the most of it, and enjoyed our own family time. No thanks to Royalton. So sad we go on several vacations a year. Not with Royalton ever again. Nor will they care. AI responds but it needs actions!

Entertainment is really fun We enjoy all the activities during the day, Pool and beach was always fun!

My experience at this hotel was not the best, as we encountered several issues from the moment we arrived. I understand that, according to hotel policy, rooms are not available until after 3:00 p.m. However, when we received our room, the bed sheets were dirty, had hair on them, and appeared not to have been changed. Housekeeping was notified but did not return until later that afternoon. Additionally, the telephone in the room did not work, and the room was full of mosquitoes. The air conditioning was also not working properly, and part of the ceiling was deteriorating due to what appeared to be water leaking from the air-conditioning system. The room also had an extremely strong moldy odor. For this reason, I would not recommend it for anyone with asthma or allergies. I strongly recommend that guests bring plenty of mosquito repellent. On a positive note, the food was good, and the staff provided good service. Unfortunately, these were the only positive aspects of my stay. Overall, the room did not offer the level of comfort I expected. In my opinion, other hotels, such as Lopesan and Bávaro, provide better accommodations and more comfortable rooms.

Elisanny and Leidy was great with the kids club excellent support very good with the kids and teenagers. If you get a chance leave your kids and you can be by the beach and they will be in good hands.
