Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana

The price is great this time a year, so it’s for the reason we picked hideaway. It was also nice to be able to go and hide when we felt like we wanted to be more quiet and relaxed. At hideaway you’re also allowed access to Splash and Royalton. We got the privilege to get granted Ernesto as our butler. What a great addition to our romantic getaway. He’s absolutely amazing. Always at our service, always making sure we were ok, sending daily activities for all 3 hotels. Keep the room filled with anything we asked for. Supper reservations always made, he also never left the resort without making sure he couldn’t do one last thing before going home to his own family. Any groups lucky to be granted him with pass a wonderful, relax and worry free vacation. Until May xox

The hotel is listed as a 5 star hotel and unfortunately it isn’t. We booked the hideaway hotel, which we assumed was a separate adults only hotel. The hideaway is a building within the main resort, with one small area which is adults only. The ‘adults only’ pool was situated next to the swim up rooms, which had children running around. The hideaway pool was filthy, with algae growing on the beds in the water and there being a green line on the pool where the water sat. The food was mostly okay, again, not 5 star. The buffet was mostly okay, not fantastic but not awful. We went to all restaurants and the only good meals we had were at Jade and the Italian. The food served at Dorado was so bad, we walked out after one mouth full and went to the buffet. We both had steak which was swimming in oil and a knife wouldn’t even go through. It came with a handful of cold chips. All reservations are made through an app, but are difficult to even book so you had to constantly ask at the help desk. Room service was good and the hotel room was very clean. The ‘private’ beach area was clean and drinks service was good. Just be aware that you will be hassled by people selling things. We wouldn’t return to this hotel and will probably avoid Royaltons in the future purely from this experience. It’s a shame as the hotel itself has so much potential.

Great customer service from everyone on the resort. But our hostess Sorainny was amazing she made us feel so welcome and went and above and beyond with the customer service. Every thing was very very good. The room was very clean, the activities of the hotel are amazing, the food was to to good, I really like the buffet food. The Royalton fit activities where very good, David and Robert where amazing guyes there were so nice with us. And Nilson is the best of the vibes team, his the best at volleyball I really recommend this hotel.
