Ocean El Faro

Hotel is beautiful. I have seen some bad reviews and I wonder why ? It seems people will complain about anything. I wouldn’t let videos you see put you off. Rooms are beautiful, slightly worn down with panels to cover certain aspects of the room but we are in the Dominican ? Nothing can be perfect. Rooms are cleaned daily and all cleaning staff were so lovely. The pool in the day in the adults only can be loud and crazy but it made the days so much more entertaining ! Especially with the entertainment staff so if you want absolutely quiet then go to a different pool as some people did complain.. grow up. Most staff were lovely and accommodating, making us feel welcome, other times staff prioritised Spanish speaking customers over us although they knew we were at the bar first let’s say, it’s a shame but that doesn’t speak for every staff member there so that’s a shame. The food in the Italian was probably the only restaurant where the food literally came out within 2 minutes - bit worrying but.

We have time share with H10 and we wanted to try this resort. We had a great time for the most part. Our butler Alexander was amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The resort had an issue with AC in the building and didn’t have AC for two days. The beach wasn’t very pretty this time of year. Lots of seaweed and we didn’t care for the street vendors on the resort or people on the beach harassing us often always trying to sell things. They were very aggressive trying get you to buy their items. Beware of the pictures with live animals on the beach. They try to get you to take photos with the animals then ask for money. They asked for $500 each then they settled for $30. Security had to run them off. The excursion people (turismo) DO NOT do a very good job of explaining. They showed us an old brochure with snorkeling, Lobster, and star fish, all of which we DID NOT get and they refused to give any refunds. When confronted they ripped up the old brochure and said we got what we paid for. Boogies trail ride was ok but not as expected. We did enjoy the horseback on the beach. The restaurants on the resort were ok but we enjoyed the prestige restaurants the best. There is a big language barrier and most don’t understand English. Not much to do after the pools close until 9pm when shows start. We were in the off season so I guess that’s why.

We went to Ocean El Faro, Punta Cana for my 50th Birthday. Although I started out with the (getting old) blues my butler Deiby Santana ensured I had an amazing time. He catered to any need we had. All issues albeit minor, were corrected immediately. We are already planning our return. Hopefully we can get Deiby again. He was absolutely a delight. The room was comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was classy and relaxed. The grounds were taken care of impeccably. The price was almost a steal, extremely affordable especially for the price.

Perfect hotel. Quiet and peaceful environment for a relaxing holiday. Food was great and perfect cocktail menu. Great atmosphere and staff very friendly. Rooms could do with more maintenance however I think this about all hotels. My only real complaint would be justina who works at the Quiet pool bar, she is rude and ignorant and really shouldn't be customer facing. Franklin from customer service was the highlight of our holiday, he made our whole experience a 100/10, he was friendly and genuinely cared about our holiday experience and supported us throughout the holiday with restaurant bookings, excursions etc. H10 Franklin needs a pay rise and should be the model of customer services throughout your brand. Clean pools Lovely beach Great food and drinks Big bedrooms and comfortable Nice and easy walk throughout the hotel, all flat and shuttle buses available. I would recommend highly.

I am very fan of good customer service and Alexander Tavarez my butler met my expectations. Very attentive to the needs of my family and mine, he even sent us a message to see how we get home, from 0 to 10 I give him a 10. He also always sent us the daily activities of the hotel he did a very good job.As for the food I think they could improve from 0 to 5 I would give it 3, almost always the food when it arrived at the table was cold not always but almost always. the rest an excellent resort to spend an incredible vacation and if I would recommend it.
