Royalton Bavaro Resort & Spa

My experience was very pleasant. The butler Eduardo was very professional and always very attentive, he will constantly be suggesting and asking to attend us. I will highly recommend him.👌 Everyone else was very polite and professional.

The room was nice, clean, and had a swim out pool which was the best part. The bathroom was different. The bathtub was right in the middle of the room. The shower was fantastic with multiple shower heads. As far as getting around, our amstar rep was unbelievably accommodating. Went far above and beyond. Our butler “Roy” did an exceptional job as well. Communicated regularly and did his best to get us what we needed. The restaurants weren’t anything special in fact we expected better from a Royalton. The only memorable place we ate was the Japanese restaurant and it was only Memorable because of the great staff. All in all, it was a good trip.

I visited Royalton Bavaro back in August Aug 15-22) with a few friends and we had an amazing time! The resort was beautiful, clean and staff was super friendly. There was some construction going on in the main lobby area but not much was affected for us at the time. Juan Carlos (the guest service assistant manager) went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of throughout our stay. Whether it was booking our dinner reservations, or sending over extra juice for our fridge, he was always available to help and made sure everything went smoothly for us. We were so thankful for him! Huge shoutout to the team at the pool bar in the infinity pool as well (Claritza, Carlos, Omar, Alexander)! The sargassum was quite bad in August so most people spent time at the infinity pool. The swim up bar got super busy throughout the day, but these bartenders made sure everyone was taken care of and having a good time! Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially thanks to the staff that made us feel at home.

My stay was absolutely horrible! I had a swim up room which the pool was disgusting. It had algae,cigarettes and bugs also you can see the oils from people skin inthe water. We also had roaches in our room .the shower wouldn't drain so we showered standing in our filth...we had to meet with a rep that tried to get us to buy a vacation package for the resort we advised we wouldn't return back to the property he asked why and we told him the issues he stated he would make the rest of our stay great but after we declined the package we didn't hear anything from management or him.. we finally called down to the office to report the roaches in which they came to spray the day before we left our 7 night stay. The pool and shower didn't get any attention. Housekeeping and management that came to the room was aware of some of the issues but did nothing. I called the office the day before checkout for a partial refund due to not being able to use the pool we paid for and the other issues and management denied us and didn't return our calls or emails.this was a surprise birthday trip for my wife she didn't know where she was going until we got there and this is what we got pure disgusting stay.

The hotel facilities could use a little more attention, but the staff truly makes the difference. Everyone was kind and welcoming, especially Dialina, whose warmth, attentiveness, and excellent service made our stay even more special. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of.
