Royalton chic was a great time all around! Great food, great entertainment and great night life. Me and my 4 boys all in our 20s had a blast and made lots of good friends guests and staff! Special shoutout to Rosendo and Blinkenson from entertainment team for making it an unforgettable week!

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The only good thing about this hotel was most of the staff were amazing, other than this, everything else was horrible. The food was not good, except for the Indian restaurant. We were also promised $600 in resort credits which was a scam as I will tell you. Also everything in the resort was literally falling apart. There was a film of scum on the top of one of the pools. There were also clumps of hair floating in the pool. The “hydrotherapy” at the spa was also just a few pools with different temperatures of water and most of the water features did not work. I ordered room service one night and it never came. And the cafe kept closing early. The beach was dirty and the waters were not clear. Everything about the hotel was dated and tacky. I was traveling with 2 other people and we booked at 2 bed room. When we arrived, they told us that they cannot give us a 2 bed room until the 3 rd day, so we had to use a rollaway bed for the first 2 nights. Then we were finally moved into a 2 bed room (Room Change #1) but the TV in this room never worked. Our travel agent told us that while we were staying at the hotel we could enjoy $600 in resort credits so we booked spa treatments. Then on the day before our final night we were in the room and SPARKS were flying out of the plug in the bathroom and then the room’s power went out. We flip the switch but then it happened again with even bigger sparks one of which hit me and another went into the trash can. I went down to the front desk to tell them and they said they would send someone. When we came back from dinner there was still no power in the room. I went back to the front and told them and they said they had to move our room again, (Room Change #2) but they were going to upgrade us but we had to sign a piece of paper releasing them of any liability. We said we would not so they said they would move us to a different room. This is when I mentioned to them that I wanted to make sure that our $600 room credit was applied to the room charges and this is when they said this is not how that works. They said that I was supposed to bring it up at arrival and that they would have given me a book of coupons worth $600. This was not how our travel agent explained it to us and that the staff was supposed to explain it to us when we arrived. I explained that the staff did not give this to us that. They told us that if we did not pay, we would physically not be allowed to leave the resort. I asked to speak to the manager of the resort but was given every person but the manager. So we went to that new room but there was no AC in the room. So they called down and said the only other option was to sign the paper and move us to the upgraded room. I told them I would not sign the paper. So they ended up just giving us the upgrade without me signing the paper (Room Change #3). When we checked out I asked to speak to the manager of the hotel. And was given the front desk manager and they again told me I would not be allowed to leave the resort with out paying. My travel agent was even so confused by what was going on. The hotel would not respond to my travel agent. This ruined our last night at the hotel. It was a horrible experience. Cannot stress enough not to stay at this hotel.

Heads up all, i was there in May. When i got to the resort I decide to upgrade. Most of the upgrade stuff was not offered or it was under Reno’s. I did speak to management. They said that they would give a 20% refund because of the upgrade stuff not offered. They made me sign a doc at the resort. I never got the refund when there. They said they had to send to there head office. After a month, i still didn’t not get anything. I filled with my bank for services not received. Today the told me because i signed the form that they could not offer anything. I still have never heard back from the resort. SO HEADS UP, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AT THE RESORT DONT SIGN ANYTHING. DISPUTE IT WITH YOUR BANK. BY SIGNING THE FORM ALL IT IS TO DO IS TO MAKE YOU QUITE. THEY NEVER ANSWERED MY EMAIL AFTER WORD.AND STILL NO CREDIT BACK. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

We stayed here with a group celebrating a 50th birthday. My husband and I had an ocean view diamond club suite. Our butler Roberto was very attentive and accomodating. However, the third day we were there, Saturday morning, my husband received an alert of a $76 thousand dollar charge attempt on his Amex card. When he spoke to the fraud department they sd a physical card was used and asked him to please check if the card was still in his possession and when he checked it wasn’t. The card had been taken out of his wallet when he left it in the room while we were at the pool. The butler sent list of times when restaurant, room service and housekeeping was available and it stated housekeeping was from 9am-5pm, so it was weird when Sunday evening someone came in our room on us about 9pm and was startled and she asked do we need towels, but housekeeping had already been to our room earlier. In the Diamond club lounge there was no premium liquor that was promised, but u could BUY premium liquor from a man with a cart for $150-$200. Not to mention all the vendors on the resort that was overwhelming with asking to buy their products. I will never go back to Punta Cana
