Everything is excellent The service the entertainment the food is all outstanding. The entertainment team are very fun and polite especially Antonio and Harky! Would highly recommend

If you have never been on an all-inclusive vacation before, this will be a 5-star experience for you. For some, like myself, it was average. I would recommend it again, as long as you get the Diamond Club.

Very Disappointing — Definitely Not a Five-Star Resort We stayed at Royalton CHIC Punta Cana from August 16th through August 23rd, and unfortunately, this resort was nowhere near the five-star experience we expected. Based on our experience, we would definitely not return and would not recommend this resort to others. To start, the room was extremely dated and poorly maintained. The phone was broken, there was no hair dryer or clock, the sliding glass door lock was broken and had a hasp on it instead, and the refrigerator was rusted. We also had no bottled water. There were glass bottles in the refrigerator that guests were expected to take to another building to refill, but no one explained this to us when we arrived. Basic service was also lacking. We had to get our own fresh towels, and I would strongly recommend bringing your own toilet paper because the supply was not adequate. The pool and beach furniture was worn out, and the beach towels were stained and heavily worn. Although the resort advertises seven restaurants, only one appeared to be open each night in addition to the buffet. The food was cold and, in our opinion, terrible. We were told that reservations were required for the restaurants, but when we attempted to make one, we were told they were already booked. Many guests we spoke with complained of having severe diarrhea during their stay. We also tried using the resort's app, but it was essentially useless. The drinks were another disappointment. The bars primarily offered draft beer, and the liquor selection was anything but top shelf. There was no Bacardi, and even getting Barcelo was difficult. The alcohol selection felt very bottom-of-the-barrel for a resort advertised as five-star. The resort was also supposed to have nightly theme parties, but that was not our experience. One night there was a show, but otherwise there was very little to do in the evenings. The disco was so loud that you couldn't even carry on a conversation with the person standing next to you. Another major issue was the constant pressure from vendors and staff trying to sell excursions, products, and timeshares. We were told a presentation would take approximately 40 minutes, but it turned into nearly two hours. It was a complete waste of our vacation time. Then came the biggest problem: the power went out and remained off for approximately 15 hours. There was apparently no backup generator for guests. What made matters worse was being repeatedly told that the power would be restored within an hour, only to have that hour come and go over and over again. We felt that we were not being given honest information about the situation. During a storm, water also came into our room underneath the door, which was another indication of the poor condition and maintenance of the property. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing vacation. A resort charging five-star prices should provide clean, well-maintained rooms, reliable amenities, quality food and drinks, good service, and accurate communication with its guests. Unfortunately, Royalton CHIC Punta Cana fell far short in all of these areas. We would definitely not return, and we cannot recommend this resort. Don't waste your money.

However, I must be honest that, unfortunately, a general apology and the assurance that my comments will be shared with the management team do not fully address the disappointment I experienced during my stay. As a guest, I paid expecting a certain level of quality and service from the Royalton brand, and unfortunately, several aspects of my experience did not meet those expectations. I was particularly disappointed that some of the food and services I had paid for were not properly honored. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I appreciate that you have shared my concerns with your management team. At the same time, I believe that when a guest has such a disappointing experience, it is important not only to acknowledge the feedback but also to take meaningful steps to make the guest feel heard and valued. I remain genuinely disappointed with my experience and, at this time, with the way the situation was handled. Service was poor. Arrived with friend for b-day. Complementary wine was supposed to be included during our stay & upon our arrival. Never received wine or explanation despite asking multiple members of resort staff. Despite claims our minibar would be refilled daily, our minibar was not refilled during our entire 3 day stay. Restaurants, aside from the buffet require reservations, however, availability is limited & spaces fill up quickly.
