Royalton CHIC Punta Cana Resort & Spa

We just returned from our trip to Punta Cana and had a great time! This was a perfect combo of fun party atmosphere and relaxation. Midday to late afternoon was definitely more of a party atmosphere but earlier in the day and evenings were more chill which was great for us. Evening entertainment was fun especially the circus night. Argie, our butler was AMAZING! So attentive and made sure to find us at the beach or pool everyday to check in with us in- person to see if we needed anything. All the staff was friendly and helpful especially the staff at the coffee shop and beach bar. The fitness instructors were a lot of fun and made the aqua fitness classes something not to miss. Food was fine, nothing to rave about, but fine. The Indian and Italian restaurants were our favorite. There could be a bit more attention to detail - cleaning the islands in the pool, some beach chairs showing quite a bit wear, signage showing quite a bit of wear. Overall, I would recommend the resort to someone looking for some party vibe but nothing over the top.

The hotel is full of scammers and hoodlums. It is literally as if they also have secretive cameras set up in every room, as the hotel is small and it is physically possible for them to do so, as they also are aware of things that happens in your room, as if they truly have surveillance. You truly feel unsafe in the hotel as the security is NOT THERE to protect the guests, and they seem to be more of useless decorations more than anything else. You consistently feel like they are harassing you, following you, talking about you, have you on their radar; truly expensive for what they give you. The staff are all charlatans and they put immense pressure on you to tip and give them money for absolutely no reason whatsoever!

We recently stayed at Royalton CHIC Punta Cana and had the pleasure of having Joan Lopez as our butler. Joan was exceptional throughout our entire stay. He was attentive, courteous, professional, and always seemed one step ahead of our needs. From making sure reservations were handled to checking in regularly and helping with anything we needed, Joan consistently went above and beyond to make our vacation special. His friendly attitude and genuine desire to provide outstanding service did not go unnoticed. Joan is a true asset to Royalton CHIC, and he played a major role in making our trip memorable. We highly recommend requesting him if you have the opportunity. Thank you, Joan, for helping create such a wonderful experience for us!

Resort was Beautiful. Service was excellent. We had Joan as a Butler and he was the best. He was super transparent and did everything ASAP.

Joan was the best to work with. Never had a butler before but he went above and beyond to make everything that much more enjoyable. I would come back because of him. He worked so hard, was extremely attentive, and was very kind. He truly went above and beyond on many different occasions. Very please with his effort and willingness to do everything he could to make our trip enjoyable.
