Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana

I recently stayed at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, and overall it delivered a relaxing, high‑quality experience in a beautiful beachfront setting. Location The hotel sits directly on Bávaro Beach, one of the most stunning stretches of coastline in Punta Cana. The area feels safe, scenic, and convenient, with calm turquoise water and soft white sand. It’s easy to access neighbouring resorts and local excursions, and the beachfront itself is a major highlight. Atmosphere The atmosphere is peaceful and adults‑only, with a strong focus on relaxation. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with tropical gardens, quiet pathways, and a calm, upscale vibe throughout. Music, lighting, and overall ambience feel refined without being overly formal. It strikes a great balance between luxury and comfort. Rooms Rooms are spacious, modern, and well‑designed, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and good air‑conditioning. Many rooms offer lovely pool or garden views, and the swim‑up suites add an extra level of privacy and convenience. The décor is contemporary, and amenities like the minibar, toiletries, and balcony seating enhance the stay. Cleanliness Cleanliness is consistently excellent. Housekeeping keeps rooms spotless, public areas are well‑maintained, and the pool and beach areas are cleaned throughout the day. The resort feels fresh and cared for, with attention to detail in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Value For an adults‑only, all‑inclusive resort, the value is strong. The quality of the food, drinks, service, and facilities matches the price point. Access to Dreams Royal Beach adds extra dining and activity options, which increases overall value. While not the cheapest resort, the experience feels worth the cost. My husband Steve and I went for a week. Nathaniel was by far the best pool waiter we ever had. He went above and beyond for us. Our room was very nice. The food was good. The Mexican restaurant was Amazing!! The Hibachi was very good but way to much Butter. The pools had plenty of chairs. We did upgrade but I wouldn't do it again. Our Butler was ok nothing special. The shows were just ok. I liked 3 out of 7. They need work. The beach was nice not Beautiful. They controlled the seaweed. The people selling stuff and bothering you was out of control. They should stop them from coming up to the Vip section. Bar service on the beach could be better for sure. Juilo was another Amazing guy who went above and beyond. Angel by the pool was great. It was slow season and I would go again in September.

We just returned from a week at secrets royal beach and overall had an amazing time! We stayed in a preferred private pool suite. Check in was lovely and our butler, Felix, have us a nice tour of the resort. He also made sure that my birthday was special :) Our room was clean but the bathroom was overall not ideal. There was only a single sink and very little counter space. There was also not an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. I noticed at this resort the preferred status did not get any upgraded minibar such as snacks as we've gotten at other secrets resorts. However, our fridge stayed stocked with drinks. Housekeeping and turndown service was great also. We enjoyed the food and absolutely loved the option of having the buffet for dinner. It was perfect for the nights that I just was not that hungry or we were eating late and just wanted to grab something and go to bed without getting all done up. We did the buffet for breakfast most mornings and it was a delight to be greeted by Modesto! He was a great server, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. We were lucky to have him as our server at the Patio on our last night and he made sure our dinner was amazing, we really appreciate him putting in the effort to make our last night special for us. He is a true asset to the resort. The drinks at the resort were great, but I did notice a huge difference in quality between preferred bars and non-preferred bars. For that reason alone, it's worth booking preferred. I found the drinks the non-preferred pool bars to be absolutely disgusting and could not drink them. Wilbur in the preferred club bar was great and we loved conversing with him and enjoyed his "special drink"! Sebastian at the preferred swim up was so friendly and made us feel welcome everyday, plus he makes the best drinks! We went to the spa and had an amazing time! I had a massage by Rosana and I believe it was the best massage I ever had in my life. If you do decide to get a massage, I highly recommend requesting her. Kevin walked us through the hydrotherapy and he was a delight as well. Overall we loved our spa experience thanks to these two! We decided to check out the preferred area of the dreams resort nextdoor and it was beautiful! The pools were very nice and lazy river style. Very nice to float around in. The bartender at the preferred pool bar, I forgot his name, was so friendly and made great drinks! We loved the atmosphere and how relaxing that area was. We had the pizza for lunch and it was so good! It was great have access to dreams as well as secrets as the overall vibe was so chill. The night time shows that we watched were very entertaining. We did partake in some of the daytime activities and we enjoyed making candles and decorating hats. Overall we had an amazing time! One thing I didn't love about this resort is that they so not use the Hyatt inclusive app in the same way other secrets resorts I've been to use. For example, at other resorts, I was able to order room service, request pillows or toilet paper, and make maintenance requests through the app. This resort does not utilize the app like that. Also, nobody even mentioned the app when we checked in, so I don't think they're using it to its capability just yet, maybe in the future. We still really enjoyed ourselves and are hoping to return next year.

The only pretty thing about the property was the lounge. The staff tried to up-sale everything. The rooms were dirty as well as the pools. The beach was awful, dirty. The water was awful, there is an ugly pier to the left with a run down pirate ship and nasty boats. The food was disgraceful. Preferred club was not worth it, butler was not available but during varied hours. Waited hours for nasty room service. Do Not go here! It is not 5 star, it is not Hyatt quality. The preferred option is not worth it. We were so disappointed that we left and went to Secrets Playa Esmeralda which was a great place with good food, beautiful accommodations, beach, pools and excellent service in the preferred club section.

the entertainment, the rooms, the staff, the spa, the friendliness, all of it was fantastic to where I wanna book again!
