Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana

This resort is amazing. There is a variety of restaurants, all of which serve delicious food. Rooms are big with a minibar which is included in the price of the room. Multiple pools some with swim up bars, and great music. Shows are very entertaining. Beautiful white sand beach. Resort is super safe. What makes this place special are the people who work here. We've been to the resort 6 times, talked to a couple which have stayed 46 times. The staff treats you like family and really shows everyone one the love they would give a family member. Won't stay anywhere else in the Dominican Republic. The Preferred Clubs are worth the money, you have access to the Preferred areas, the bars which have top shelf liquor and access to the restaurants in it's sister resort which is next door. You may find a more luxurious resort but you won't have the amazing experience of staying at Secrets.

I watched a ton of videos on social media to choose our all-inclusive, and landed on Secrets... This is the one. Absolute perfection for our 20th anniversary trip. The staff is the friendliest group of people I've ever seen in service. They go above and beyond! The resort is amazing, and our room with the private pool was just the best. We've already decided we're coming back here. Rented the bali-bed for most days and just relaxed by the 80-yard calm pool. The "party pool" has a ton going on too. Food was great! The beach was cleared and easy for swimming! We did 5 nights and still wished we had stayed longer. This is the place and you won't be disappointed!

Overall, a good hotel with plenty of activities and a great selection of à la carte restaurants. However, one thing that really disappointed me was the way guests are treated differently depending on their booking category. There are several bars around the hotel, but when you ask for certain drinks or specific brands, you’re told they are only available to “Preferred” guests. Some areas of the hotel are also restricted to Preferred guests only. I understand that hotels offer different packages and levels of service, but this creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and makes regular guests feel like second-class customers. When you’re on holiday, you want to feel welcome and valued, not constantly reminded that you’re not a Preferred guest. Unfortunately, this policy took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The food was outstanding, the service was top notch, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back to Secrets.

We stayed here in a Preferred Room with private pool which was everything we hoped for at this beautiful resort. We tried most of the restaurants which were all very good, however when we visited the Bluewater Grill, we were a bit disappointed with the service. The food was amazing but didn't appreciate the server, clearing the table when I was actually still eating my starter!! My husband had finished, and the waiter come to the table and cleared his plate and delivered his main, when I was just finishing up my starter! He then proceeded to lay down my main dish, which made me feel rushed to give him my, not quite finished starter plate. We felt a similar 'rushed' experience at the Italian, Portofino restaurant over at the Dreams hotel. Apart from these 2 unfortunate experiences, every other restaurant served amazing food, and favourite was Bordeaux, great food and very good service. We spent most of our days at the Preferred Pool area, which was always a very good vibe, with the best bar staff ever - fact!! Shout out to Sebastian / Obispo / Fany Luz / Rosa and Vincente - a great team. Animation team were very good, although we only had interaction with a couple of them doing craft things by the preferred pool area during the day on a couple of occasions. We didn't use our private pool much until our last couple of days. Unfortunately, there was some construction work going on right across from our room, which was very noisy, thankfully when the patio door was closed we couldn't hear it, but it did kinda spoil the nice peaceful ambience of relaxing in our own private pool. Overall, a great holiday, fabulous food, no complaints with the drinks, room was lovely and very cool with great AC which was very welcomed!
