------------------------------ ## 🔴 Avoid This Resort – Terrible Food, Poor Management, and Roaches Stay Dates: September 20 – September 27, 2026 Travel Party: Group of 10 friends Room Category: Standard Room I recently stayed at Serenade Punta Cana with a group of 10 friends, and unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with our experience. While there were a few bright spots, the major issues we encountered ruined what should have been a great vacation. The Bad: * The Dining Experience (Terrible): The food quality was awful. It was the exact same, very limited menu every single day with zero variety. To make matters worse, if we asked for more food, the staff constantly told us it was "finished." Most horrifyingly, we found cockroaches on our dining table on two separate occasions. * Front Desk & Management: The front desk staff were incredibly rude and either could not speak or refused to understand English. When I requested to see a manager to voice our concerns, I was forced to wait for an hour. When the manager finally showed up, he was entirely careless, dismissive, and took absolutely no action to resolve our issues. * The Beach: The beach was completely covered in thick seaweed, and the resort made absolutely no effort to clean it up or maintain the shore for guests. * The Rooms: While our standard rooms were generally clean, housekeeping consistently forgot to leave enough towels for us, requiring us to constantly chase them down. The Good: * The Pool & Bars: The pool area was good and well-maintained. The bartenders were also friendly, hard-working, and made good drinks. * Standout Staff: The absolute best part of our stay was a few select staff members who actually cared. A huge thank you to the supervisor, Alberto Chanks, as well as our amazing waiters, Tarazan and Samira. They provided excellent service and tried their best to help us. Verdict: I strongly advise against staying here. A 5-star resort should never have roaches on dining tables, a complete lack of food variety, and a management team that treats paying guests with such carelessness. We will not be returning. Beautiful spot! The beach was great. So was the pool right by the beach. We enjoyed their beach party. The rooms were comfy and clean and our balcony was the cherry on the cake. We went mid September which I think isn't very common and it was a slower pace. Lots of space for us on the beach and around the pool. We didn't wait for drinks or lounge chairs no matter what time we went. That was a very big plus! There were more guests there from the country and surrounding countries at the time we went. For us it made it our stay even better! They made the party! However I think that also made the staff a little laid back and more comfortable. So service could have been better. It was below par. The food also could have been better. We did enjoy the snack shack by the pool! But the reason this resort still gets 5 stars is because of the SPA! Heaven! The massage was great. We also did the hydration center with the different temperature rooms and such. My body has never relaxed so much. There was three of us so I believe 5 different service women took care of us at the spa and all are amazing. They also get 5 stars because this mom made a boo-boo and brought shampoo with lavender in it. My daughter is allergic to lavender. Neither of us caught it and she started a very serious allergic reaction. The medic on site was completely prepared. It saved us an epi pen and trip to the hospital. Would I go there again? Absolutely.

The resort was fun, the bar had good drinks , the beach was pretty, and overall the place was clean. The atmosphere and the service was great. The animators particularly Peluche was lovely.

I didn’t really know what I was expecting at an all-inclusive resort as I’ve never been to one before. Check in was fine, was escorted to our room by a very friendly staff member whose motive was to make sure we met him the next morning for a sales pitch on their time share program. We didn’t go. Seeing our room for the first time was awesome, huge, huge room with 2 king beds, a walk in shower that could easily fit 7-8 people and a hot tub on the balcony. Impressive. Had a shower, which was great, went to blow dry my hair and honestly my husband could have dried it faster by blowing on it. Easy solution though, just go sit on the balcony for 20 minutes, hair is dry then. (I would still recommend bringing your own dryer). Booked one of their spa treatments for myself and my husband. Absolutely wonderful. The best two and a half hours there. Food was ok, a lot of repetition on some things, not enough on others. The Teppanyaki was the best. Power went out twice while we were there. Once while talking with my sister, lost the connection with her, the second time I was in the shower with wet soapy hair, when the power goes out the water stops too, I laughed at the situation because that never happens. Both times the power came on within five minutes. Had several issues with the hot tub not holding water, they get it fixed, unfixed and fixed again, then we can’t pull the plug out. Called about that and then left the room for the afternoon. Came back to see the side panels of the hot tub taken off and tools laying around. Five minutes later maintenance showed up again. Finally got it fixed but by then we lost interest. Sitting on the balcony in the evenings was almost impossible because these rooms are located right above one of the DJ stands. Lots of loud thumping noise, however it seemed to stop at 10:00 pm, ready for bed by then. Had a few drinks throughout the week. What I found odd is that sometime they would ask if I wanted alcohol in them, I said of course. The times they didn’t ask I didn’t get alcohol in them? Anyway we probably wont stay there again.

Every service was just perfect. Value for money.
