My Stay at Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort October 2026 | Punta Cana, Dominican Republic Overall Impressions I recently completed a ten-night stay at Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort and came away with very positive feelings about my experience. The resort is attractive, well maintained and offers comfortable accommodation, beautiful tropical surroundings, good food and friendly, welcoming staff. Having visited the Dominican Republic many times, I have come to appreciate that every resort has its own character. Serenade provides a pleasant, relaxing environment with plenty of amenities for guests to enjoy. Accommodation and Comfort My Luxury Tropical Garden View room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I particularly appreciated having a quiet location away from the busier entertainment areas. The balcony, furnished with a table and chairs, provided a pleasant place to sit and relax. The air conditioning worked well, and there was always plenty of hot water. The room was large enough that I never felt confined, even when spending part of the afternoon indoors. There were a couple of minor design features that I found less practical, such as limited shelving in the closets and the unusual bathroom layout. However, these did not detract from my comfort or enjoyment. Housekeeping maintained my room to a very good standard throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable and well cared for, and I appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff. Food and Dining The food was one of the highlights of my stay. The main buffet offered an excellent variety of choices, and I generally found the quality to be very good. There was always plenty to choose from, and I appreciated the different selections available throughout the day. I particularly enjoy fish, and initially I thought there was relatively little available. However, as I became more familiar with the buffet layout, I discovered that fish was offered more frequently than I had first realized. The dining areas were pleasant, and the staff were generally attentive and welcoming. Overall, I was very satisfied with the food and dining experience. Staff and Guest Service One of the most enjoyable aspects of my stay was the friendliness of the staff. Throughout the resort, I encountered employees who were courteous, helpful and welcoming. Whether in the buffet, around the grounds or in other service areas, I felt comfortable and appreciated as a guest. I recognize that hospitality work can be demanding, particularly for employees responsible for maintaining rooms, preparing food and serving guests throughout the day. Their efforts contributed significantly to my enjoyment of the vacation. For me, the people who work at a resort are just as important as the facilities themselves, and the staff at Serenade left a very positive impression. Resort Grounds, Pools and Beach Serenade has beautiful tropical landscaping, flowering plants and well-maintained grounds. The large swimming pool is an attractive feature, particularly for guests who enjoy spending time around the water and participating in organized activities. The pool area can be lively during the day, while the beach offers a quieter alternative. I particularly enjoyed spending time near the beach and appreciating the tropical surroundings. I also enjoyed walking around the property. The resort has a horseshoe-shaped layout, and a complete circuit provided approximately 1,200 steps. One observation I would make is that the grounds are relatively compact. For someone like myself who particularly enjoys long walks, exploring different areas and discovering new surroundings, the walking opportunities become somewhat limited during a longer stay. This is simply a matter of personal preference rather than a criticism of the resort. Guests who enjoy relaxing around the pool, spending time on the beach or participating in organized activities will find plenty to appreciate. Resort Atmosphere During the latter part of my stay, I noticed that the resort seemed somewhat busier, particularly around the beach and in the main buffet. However, the additional activity did not noticeably affect my comfort or enjoyment. The atmosphere remained pleasant, and I was always able to find somewhere to relax. I particularly appreciated having the freedom to spend my days as I wished, whether walking around the grounds, enjoying the beach or simply relaxing in my room. Final Reflections As I prepared to leave Serenade after ten nights, I found myself reflecting on how much I had enjoyed the experience. The accommodation was comfortable, the food was very good, the grounds were attractive and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Although I personally enjoy resorts with more extensive walking areas, that preference did not diminish my appreciation of everything Serenade had to offer. I believe the resort provides an excellent setting for guests looking for a relaxing all-inclusive vacation in the Dominican Republic. I would happily recommend Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort to anyone considering a holiday in Punta Cana. I am very pleased that I chose to stay here and leave with many positive memories. Above all, I will remember the friendliness of the people who helped make my vacation such an enjoyable experience.

Traveled October 5-12th with my husband and our 2 kids, 3 years old and 8 month old. There are lots of positives about this hotel, but also things that would deter us from coming back. Pros: 1. Room: we stayed in 6318 which is a Luxury master suite. Room was clean, modern, with comfortable bedding and all needed amenities. All towels at this hotel are GREY instead of white from so much wearing, very dirty looking. Housekeeping is generally helpful and mini fridge gets restocked daily. The Santo Domingo coffee pods are a nice touch and coffee tastes amazing, especially the green one. 2. Pools: multiple of different depths which makes it great for separating toddlers from older kids and adults. Pools are clean and constantly maintained. Pool bar service is generally good too. 3. Food: no issues getting reservation for the Cut steakhouse through the Serenade app. Buffet food is also good with nice variety despite being in low season. I did see some roaches roaming around the buffet, including the food displays. It's the Caribbean so impossible to not have the odd unwanted visitor. 4. Drinks- for non preferred guests they generally use national brands however all the cocktails I tried tasted great. Their red wine is dry and good as well. They never have OJ which is a downside for the kids. 5. Activities: the entertainment team really tries and some of the activities are actually enjoyable, especially the beach party- although it is so loud you could her it from the buffet on the other side of the resort. Cons: 1. Beach vendors- constantly on your case for either excursions, braids, trinkets or what not. They do they no for an answer eventually, but right after new vendors show up. 2. Concierge service- scam for timeshare or Tiempo compartido, DO NOT FALL FOR THE VIP breakfast. Our "concierge" Marco was so nice and helpful when he got assigned to give us a tour of the resort upon arrival- mind you, that was barely a tour, more of an excuse to invite us to the VIP breakfast the next day. As I am fluent in Spanish I switched right away and explained we are not going to attend and why. He harassed my husband the next morning and when he realized we won't budge he stopped saying hello or acknowledging us. His pitch was :"Come stay a few minutes, let me get my points, you help me do my job, we're all happy". I didn't pay 7K for an AI vacay to help you do your job, sorry!!!! I fould this behaviour to be unacceptable. 3. Service- 90% of the employees hate their jobs and serving you. Period. We were some of the VERY VERY FEW tourists that were tipping and still didn't make a difference 4. Language barrier- resort caters to a lot of Latin American tourists which is a great experience to have as a North American. We got to spend time with Colombians, Peruvians, Argentinians... But because of this staff's English is bad towards non-existent. Again, not an issue for me as a Spanish speaker, but it could get very frustrating for people who's main language is English. 5. Kids' activities- advertised as daily however, a lot of them are based on participation, so if the little ones don't wanna sing Karaoke or go on stage there will be no activity for them. Mini disco happens a couple times a week and should be 30 minutes but they cut it down to 10-15 as they please. 6. Doctor visit- My son fell ill 3 days before our return so we took him to see the on site doctor. The consult was 2-3 minutes only after we re made aware of all the costs. We ended up spending an hour in the office for him to call insurance, fill pout forms, and eventually bill us directly. 315 CAD for a 3 min consultation and wrong diagnosis. He also insisted we take our baby to a pediatric hospital, 30 min drive by cab...was very pushy about it. I refused as my medical knowledge allowed me to have my own assessment of his medical state. Turns out my boy got foot mouth leg disease from the resort and developed pustules hours after the doctor diagnosed him with flu or pneumonia. 3 days after my daughter got it too. Definitely not the hotel's fault for this virus being present, but they should ensure their medical team should be more prepared and competent. Would we return? Yes...for the right price and with a tad lower expectations having had this experience already.

We were a group of 10 people, the spa organised an amazing experience including massage and the thermal area Experince. The service and professionalism of the team was incredible. The spa director greeted us and the service was supervised until the end. Thank you all for providing such amazing experience

------------------------------ ## 🔴 Avoid This Resort – Terrible Food, Poor Management, and Roaches Stay Dates: September 20 – September 27, 2026 Travel Party: Group of 10 friends Room Category: Standard Room I recently stayed at Serenade Punta Cana with a group of 10 friends, and unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with our experience. While there were a few bright spots, the major issues we encountered ruined what should have been a great vacation. The Bad: * The Dining Experience (Terrible): The food quality was awful. It was the exact same, very limited menu every single day with zero variety. To make matters worse, if we asked for more food, the staff constantly told us it was "finished." Most horrifyingly, we found cockroaches on our dining table on two separate occasions. * Front Desk & Management: The front desk staff were incredibly rude and either could not speak or refused to understand English. When I requested to see a manager to voice our concerns, I was forced to wait for an hour. When the manager finally showed up, he was entirely careless, dismissive, and took absolutely no action to resolve our issues. * The Beach: The beach was completely covered in thick seaweed, and the resort made absolutely no effort to clean it up or maintain the shore for guests. * The Rooms: While our standard rooms were generally clean, housekeeping consistently forgot to leave enough towels for us, requiring us to constantly chase them down. The Good: * The Pool & Bars: The pool area was good and well-maintained. The bartenders were also friendly, hard-working, and made good drinks. * Standout Staff: The absolute best part of our stay was a few select staff members who actually cared. A huge thank you to the supervisor, Alberto Chanks, as well as our amazing waiters, Tarazan and Samira. They provided excellent service and tried their best to help us. Verdict: I strongly advise against staying here. A 5-star resort should never have roaches on dining tables, a complete lack of food variety, and a management team that treats paying guests with such carelessness. We will not be returning. Beautiful spot! The beach was great. So was the pool right by the beach. We enjoyed their beach party. The rooms were comfy and clean and our balcony was the cherry on the cake. We went mid September which I think isn't very common and it was a slower pace. Lots of space for us on the beach and around the pool. We didn't wait for drinks or lounge chairs no matter what time we went. That was a very big plus! There were more guests there from the country and surrounding countries at the time we went. For us it made it our stay even better! They made the party! However I think that also made the staff a little laid back and more comfortable. So service could have been better. It was below par. The food also could have been better. We did enjoy the snack shack by the pool! But the reason this resort still gets 5 stars is because of the SPA! Heaven! The massage was great. We also did the hydration center with the different temperature rooms and such. My body has never relaxed so much. There was three of us so I believe 5 different service women took care of us at the spa and all are amazing. They also get 5 stars because this mom made a boo-boo and brought shampoo with lavender in it. My daughter is allergic to lavender. Neither of us caught it and she started a very serious allergic reaction. The medic on site was completely prepared. It saved us an epi pen and trip to the hospital. Would I go there again? Absolutely.
