Great place to stay in Praslin. You have the best beach…you can walk from one corner to another…food was excellent..be aware you will gain some weight :) best breakfast we had in Seychelles. Room was good size, but outdated…clean . All in all nice place

Nice, family-run hotel in the outskirts of Anse Volbert, about 1½ km from the "city center" in an area with "nothing" but the hotel. Our room (sea view room = half of a hut) was spacious with a nice large terrace only some 20 meters from the fantastic, white, wide Cote D'Or beach. Rooms are a bit basic, but here is almost everything you need, but we really missed an in-room safe (there are lockers in the reception) and coffee/tea making facilities. The breakfast is excellent: Variety is great and the quality of food is good, you can even have freshly made omelet and waffles, but cheese is certainly not a thing here. Every afternoon at 17:00 (a bit late) free afternoon tea they serve free afternoon tea with biscuits and cake. The place is run by Italians, and most customers are Italians, but the "we are almost one family treatment" seemed to be reserved for the Italian guests...

Cote D’Or Lodge is a great choice should one decide to visit Praslin. The location is unbeatable and the food very good. What makes the difference though is the staff . From Mattia the director, Marika who is of invaluable help and ever present in case you need something , down to the last member of the staff, everybody does his best to help us have a great time. We enjoyed our stay at this place so much that we cut short our visit to La Digue in order to spend a couple more days here. I am sure that you will have a great time too!!

This place has the makings of being a really nice place to stay, however misses the bar in several ways. The wifi is terrible and expensive. Even after paying the high rate, it was unusable. I get connectivity can be difficult on Praslin, maybe not charging for substandard things would be a good choice. The restaurant charged double for drinks compared to what was available in town, and didn't include anything without charging, including water. ($9 USD for a bottle of water is crazy) We ended up walking to the mini-mart nearby and stocking up on gallons of water we kept in our room. We did the same with beer & wine. The food was average, after a few meals we were no longer interested in their offerings and found interesting places to eat instead. The grounds were kept clean, except for the beach. To go beyond average, they should clean the beach daily. It's would not be a huge effort to rake it clean when the tide is low. Other hotels along the same beach did a much better job in this, noted as we walked it one day. The staff was indifferent on the issues, but the worst experience with them was the checkout, in which they insisted we pay the Seychelles taxes in cash. This wouldn't be an issue if they had an ATM on site instead of being a 40 minute round trip walk on a busy road. They made no attempts to solve this self-imposed problem. Being an average hotel is one thing, being an average hotel in the Seychelles is another. It's an expensive trip, the last thing travelers want is to be nickel and dimed at their lodging. I wouldn't say don't stay here, but I would say lower your expectations if you do.

Superb location - right on the beach. Every morning we woke up to the wawes and sunshine. Rooms/villas are put behind tall palmtrees providing shadow in the afternoon. Fantastic beach - however during the 2 seasons the wind in the winter brings some seaweed, which is removed every morning. Really spacy rooms, fantastic staff, where Francesco provided us with a rental car when everything was sold out. Fine breakfast end food. The Italian management and staff made a fantastic New Years Eve right on the terrasse and beach with Sara as head of dancing. Can only recommend - located a bit from the village (20 min's walking) made our stay quit and just paradise
