Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare

Great welcome and mainly in the restaurant very good customer care from Bantus. This is my first day. Hopefully second will be the same

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome, and much of that is down to General Manager Oliver Kuhn. His warmth and personal attention set the tone for the whole resort, and you can feel that his team shares the same spirit. The setting on Baie Lazare is breathtaking: lush, beautifully kept gardens and a private stretch of beach that quickly became my favourite place to unwind. Breakfast was a highlight every single morning, thanks to Chef Norita and her irresistible self-made pastries. The front office team, including the lovely “Lady in Red”, made planning our excursions completely effortless. On the mornings we left before sunrise, a carefully packed breakfast was waiting for us. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot. Thank you, Mr Kuhn, and your wonderful team for such a special holiday. We can’t wait to come back!

A truly wonderful hotel, right on Baie Lazare, with beautiful, well-maintained grounds and its own beach section. The friendliness of the staff deserves special mention. Chef Norita delights guests at breakfast with her homemade pastries, and the entire front office team – including the ‘Lady in Red’ – went above and beyond, helping with all our activity planning and organising an excellent takeaway breakfast for our early excursions. In the evenings, if you don’t feel like eating out, there are various options available. The excellent and awarded Windsong Restaurant serves a delightful à la carte menu. Our heartfelt thanks for a memorable holiday go to the equally friendly and helpful General Manager, Oliver Kuhn, and his entire team. We will definitely return.

We are currently staying at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort and are very disappointed. The Kempinski name made us expect five-star service, and the resort isn't delivering it. Reception staff: From the first day, whenever we raised anything with reception, the staff (Marcus and Farrell) were dismissive. Their attitude was basically "so what?", as if our concerns didn't matter. That's not what you expect from a luxury hotel. Amenities: When we arrived, there was just one bar of soap in the whole bathroom. We had to keep asking for basic amenities, and when we did, they took about an hour to arrive. We also stayed at other hotels in the Seychelles, such as the Hilton and the Story Hotel. There, everything was already in the room and we never had to ask. Once we were at the beach at 16:00 on 26.10.2026 the staff said we don’t have the towels. It’s finished. Facilities: For a five-star resort, the facilities are very limited. There's no sauna, no steam room and only one swimming pool. Beach: We understand the beach is natural and has corals. But it isn't cleaned, and it's hard to swim there properly. You can easily get hurt walking barefoot. Restaurants: The resort has only two restaurants. The main restaurant has very little choice and the food is poor, so it was almost empty. At peak dinner time, around 8 pm, only three or four tables were taken. That pushes everyone to the Mediterranean restaurant, which was completely full, and we had to queue for about 30 minutes to get a table. Management clearly isn't paying attention to this. They need to either improve the main restaurant's menu and food quality or add another dining option. Overall: The only real highlight is the beautiful scenery and nature, but that's true everywhere in the Seychelles. For the same room rate, or sometimes even less, the Hilton offers much better service, more attention to guests and higher overall quality. We would not recommend this hotel. It's not worth your money. Rating: 1 star

Wow, the best 5 days spent at the Kempinski to finish our trip in the Seychelles. I cannot commend the amazing staff highly enough. EVERY single person you come across from maintenance, cleaners, waiters, check in staff. They are all incredible and go above and beyond to assist your every need. Everyone is so polite and friendly and that really made the trip for us. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We were breakfast only but every night we did dine within the hotel. Food is fantastic but breakfast is the star of the show. Amazing fresh produce, perfect lot cooked hot food all served with a smile (especially Emma in the mornings who made such an effort with our little one. Lots of personal touches such as the lady chef (I cannot remember her name sadly) coming around with little bakes and a warm smile and great conversation. The guys in the planters bar were super friendly. It was such a delight to stay here and we would love to come back in the future, it was our first stay at a Kempinski and hopefully it won’t be our last.
