Village Hotel Katong

I recently enjoyed an extended stay at Katong Hotel V, right in the lively heart of Katong with its colourful streets, heritage charm, and endless food discoveries. It’s a neighbourhood that already feels warm and full of life — and the hotel matches that spirit perfectly. I stayed in the Junior Suite, which comes with a washing machine, making it ideal for longer stays. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, giving me everything I needed to settle in effortlessly. But what truly elevates this hotel is the people. The hospitality here is exceptional, and a few individuals deserve special mention. Mr Chandran, the legendary host of the Peranakan Lounge, is the soul of the hotel. His evening canapés and drinks are a daily highlight — relaxed, generous, and delivered with genuine warmth. He has that rare gift of making every guest feel personally welcomed, and his presence sets the tone for the entire property. Assistant Manager Ms Asyura is another standout. Always smiling, eternally helpful, and consistently attentive, she brings a calm, cheerful energy that makes every interaction a pleasure. Her dedication and kindness shine through in everything she does. I was so impressed by the comfort, the service, and the heartfelt hospitality that I’ve already made a longer return booking. Had a wonderful stay! A special thanks to Harnek, who made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. He was warm, helpful, and went the extra mile by upgrading my room, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel has a great ambience, and the room was fantastic clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Really appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. Would definitely love to stay here again!
