Club Cala Romani

The hotel was amazing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. To say the family who I went with don’t have children, we really enjoyed our time at the hotel. 2 of them are also picky eaters and they never went hungry so that was a win!!! They were little hidden charges like the WiFi which was €20 for 7 days but I was happy to pay that!! I would stay at the hotel again.

Absolutely amazing hotel, this is my first time here and I would definitely recommend. I needed some assistance throughout my stay and the reception manager went above and beyond to help me. She really exceeded my expectations and I cannot thank her enough. The 3 pools are fantastic and are a great size. The entertainment around the pool during the day time was great for both adults and kids. I didn’t get a chance to see any of the nighttime shows but I heard from other guests that they were brilliant. The rooms, I wouldn’t say they were amazing but they were definitely clean and acceptable. In terms of the food I was very happy with it. There are a lot of different choices including a kids section. Everything is within walking distance. The town is only a 5 minute walk with plenty of bars and restaurants and the beach is only 10 minutes walking distance and is lovely and clean with lovely clear water. Overall I would definitely recommend.

So my honest review …. Just got home and whilst the hotel does have some negatives it deffo has some positives too…. 🚌 The coach transfer was great - just an hour both directions, lovely air conditioned coach. The room - very basic! No fridge, kettle etc just beds and a bathroom. (And a nice balcony) 🛏️ Beds VERY hard. (But I’m an old decrepit and struggle with hard beds, but these felt particularly hard) 🚿 Shower was fab!! (Towels, hairdryer and hair/body wash provided) no bath plug! No fridge was something I personally struggled with. ❄️ 🍽️ Food - not the best but edible. Could manage to find something everyday but the hot choices weren’t amazing. Mexican night was delicious - the fajitas, nachos and chilli was tasty. (Wed) Roast pork (Thurs) was also really good - other than that the food wasn’t really worth praising. Plenty of beige food choices though - burgers, hot dogs, nuggets, pasta etc at the kids station and snack bar. Salad and fresh bread and rolls etc 💦 Pools were lush! Absolutely lovely, clean and well maintained. Loved that they had a gradual sloping incline so you could just walk in and out without hauling your butt up and down a ladder. No brown incidents at all during our stay. 💩 plenty of sunbeds, no need to reserve. Never an issue getting sunbeds at any time of day. 🎉 Entertainment - loved that there was stuff on during the day around the pool, including professional shows not just the reps. Music to enjoy around the pool when no activities. Evening entertainment is everything you expect it to be at your typical hotel stay not Vegas worthy - but they had pro acts in every night and not just the reps doing some lame, tragic amusement. (Shout out and praise to Mia - absolute legend of a rep!) ☕️ The cup system is a bit bonkers and I struggled with always retaining my cup and carrying it around ready for refills. I get why they do it though - but having to drink your tea/coffee out of your plastic Club Cala beaker was not the one! 🏖️ Beach - was a 10 min walk down a designated path, lovely clear water and proper sand but not much shade. (Even the parasols you can hire didn’t look to provide much shade) but worth a look. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were all lovely apart from misery guts on reception - no welcoming smiley meet and greet just very much ‘hello, hurry up, I don’t want to be here’ 🤣 Would I return? I wouldn’t NOT return but it wouldn’t be my first choice. I’ll explain…. If you want somewhere cheap and cheerful to bring the kids where you’ll all have a fab break and relax and enjoy yourself - Club Cala Romani fits the bill. If you’re a foodie and like a good decent belly fill with lots of food choices - you may be disappointed. So depending what you’re coming for and what’s most important to you - CCR may or may not hit the mark! But holidays are what you make of them and it was every bit a decent budget 3 star hotel - it didn’t fail on that! 👌🏼

For a 2 star holiday you can not expect much. It was a nice relaxing break but for us, we would not return. Pool was lovely and entertainment was good, something for all. I am not a food snob but we was not that impressed. We did 5 nights and that was more than enough. We ate out a couple of nights. Town very small and rather boring. Beach was the best part. Room was in need of repair and update. We had ants in our room which wasn't nice. Drinks were OK, cocktails are pre made, beer best option. Staff are nice and work very hard. Overall this place is nice for a budget break but not for us. One big moan though, people and sun beds, people need to chill out and stop hogging them and they are like selfish when not even using them.

A wonderful hotel with amazing service and delicious food. The hotel had everything I needed. I will definitely come back next year. I highly recommend it!
