Globales Cala Viñas

For the last twelve years, my wife and I have taken two, sometimes more 'all inclusive' holidays in countries around the Mediterranean. We have stayed in Louis hotels, Marriott hotels, TUI Blue hotels, Hilton hotels and more both large and small. All hotels have something they can improve on but when we were offered a seven night holiday at VIP standard by TUI we jumped at it. You would get easier access to sunbeds out of the usual crush, and a guaranteed sunny, sea facing room on a higher floor of the hotel. Cost? An extra £140+. We should have known as soon as we got off the coach. No porter to transfer our bags to our rooms. No-one to greet us with a welcoming drink after our flight and airport rugby scrum. We got a curt, officious male receptionist who charged us 20 Euros for two towels, said it was one Euro to change them for clean ones, 46 Euros for the Tourist tax and some plastic tokens for use in the bar. He then pointed to the lift which took eleven, yes eleven minutes to arrive and didn't perform much better throughout our stay. In the majority of hotels in which we have stayed there was some form of 'meet and greet' to welcome us. Not here! We are these hotels 'life blood'. We thought we had booked a double room with an extra bed. We were given a small double room which turned out to be exactly the same as most of the other rooms in the block! So much for VIP! In the fridge were two small bottles of water. Any more and you had to pay! The words 'Pay' and 'No' loom large in this review. There were three Tea bags and no milk sachets. We bought our own! The TV had six channels, only one of which was working properly and this was the channel advertising the Hotel chain. Wi-fi worked fine. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. There was an empty tissue holder and not even the usual Welcome pack of soap, shampoo etc. There were two glass tumblers, one of which retained lipstick for three days when it was supposed to have been washed. It was just possible to have a low pressure shower as long as you stood directly under the showerhead. The guests in the next room had no hot water at all when they arrived! I am not used to paying to use a safe and wasn't about to start now! The view from the balcony was magnificent but worth an extra £140+? I doubt it. I began to wonder, if this reflected our VIP status, what did other customers get without it? Meals were adequate to good but the breakfast items were invariably lukewarm. Staff were well mannered and very efficient. During the morning we went to find the Snack Bar which actually didn't exist but the Drinks bar had a menu, most of which, despite 'All Inclusive', you had to pay extra for. Similarly, when I had the audacity to ask for a Mojito, I was again told I had to pay for it. This is the first supposed 4/5 star hotel where on an 'All inclusive' list for clients, there are fewer items on the list than off it! We were guaranteed a very basic sunbed each day with an umbrella. We made the most of a disappointing experience. The weather was beautiful as was the hotel site overlooking the sea and a delightful cove safe for swimmers and snorkelling with great potential to be designated a good five star hotel, but lacking in 'detail'. Had we been in the UK, we would almost certainly have packed up and gone home after pointing out to Management 'Areas with room for improvement'. This review is our foreign holiday equivalent. It is worth noting that, including our VIP additional payment, this hotel was the most expensive we have ever stayed in by £200 and for considerably less value. Next year we will return to Corfu where everything missing here is in their package and next year is even slightly cheaper than here. You even get a dressing gown, but I won't say where because everyone will want to go there not here. A great shame and a chance missed!

The View Alone Is Worth It! 🌊☀️ We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return! The sea and coastline views were incredible and honestly worth the money alone. The hotel was immaculately clean, with a great choice of food and drinks, and the coffee frappes were amazing! Staff throughout were friendly, welcoming, fun and always accommodating. The pool had a fantastic atmosphere, with plenty of activities, plus easy access to the sea. The location was perfect — around 25 minutes’ walk to Magaluf or a quick taxi. Entertainment was good fun too. Great value for money and a truly relaxing holiday! ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel ! The location is absolutely beautiful, right on the bay of Cala Viñas, with stunning views and a fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to one of the animators, **Daniel**. He created an amazing atmosphere and had a great way of connecting with every guest, making everyone feel welcome and creating a really friendly, positive vibe. He was also fantastic at motivating guests to take part in the different activities. Definitely the right person in the right place! We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back! We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized. A special mention goes to Daniel, one of the animators. He was absolutely fantastic! He kept everyone entertained, brought great energy and created an amazing atmosphere throughout the day. His positive attitude and sense of humor really made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for a great holiday! We would definitely come back again.
