Globales Mimosa

When we first arrived to the hotel me and my husband thought it was spotless well maintained. Then on our 3rd day my husband noticed i had bites to my back and legs, we went down to reception the head of house keeping lady looked at my spots and told us we couldn't go back to our room, we had to move rooms, I got rather upset packing then unpacking, but she was so sincere and apologised deeply so we moved rooms. The food was very good but I wouldn't eat at the pool bar loads of ants walking on the pizza. We asked if we could keep the room on and didn't mind paying as our pick up was at 11.15pm, so we kept the room on till 6pm. it was 6.05pm the cleaning lady came through the apartment door. We left our apartment but didn't get to the reception until 6.10 we handed our key in Silvia ( the receptionist )said you should have been out of your room at 6pm, my husband commented we had been waiting for the lift . She wasn't happy. He commented about what i gone through with bites and moving rooms, and how other members of staff had treat us with respect with the upsetting issue we had with the bites, and having to move rooms Silvia was so disobliging and uncooperative she said take it up with Tui, my husband commented and said the bites had nothing to do with tui ,it was a globales problem. All the other members of staff was lovely always smiling and laughing with us, they work really hard in the restaurant.

Firstly the positives. The hotel rooms are very clean. Any of the housekeeping staff always said morning and appeared friendly. We found the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I did find the 10 am before the pool area opened a bit odd. I’ve never experienced this anywhere else I’ve been. The food was good, breakfast by far the best option. I thought the bar staff overall were rude. We were all inclusive and honestly it felt like the drinks were being deducted from their pay when ordering and most of the time we were only ordering a soft drink. The restaurant staff were also the same but I did hear some guests be quite rude to them so maybe they just had enough which is fair enough. Plenty of Sunbed’s and the pool area is lovely, although I imagine in high season it would be packed out and busy. The hotel is in a good position with a short walk to the shops and beach. I would probably go back but there is some room for improvement even just in terms of being made to feel welcome staying at the hotel. It was a good stay better than average but not very good so if I could give it 3 1/2 trip advisor circles that would be fairer

First impression is that the hotel is lovely but that was short lived. The lifts are in desperate need of an upgrade, they feel very unstable, look unsightly and give you no time to get in before they close. I saw one older lady with badly bruised arm from being caught in the door. The rooms are very clean and presentable however they are extremely noisy with groups running between rooms slamming doors, in fairness that settled down later at night. The one thing that needs to be noted is the pool opening and closing times, 10 am to 6 pm so if you are an early riser you won’t be able to even sit around the pool until 10 am. I like the evening sun but the pool area is closed off strictly at 6 pm. There are no pool towels so bring your own. The buffet was lovely with plenty of choice for all meals. This is not a hotel I would return to as it felt like stepping back in time.

This is the 6th year of staying at the Globales Mimosa but will be our last. Last year they introduced 15 Euros per person for check in before 2pm. We overlooked this when booking this year as we have enjoyed spending time at this hotel. However this year they have introduced a policy of not being able to access the outside space until 10am. If you want to sit outside before 10am, you have to go outside the hotel grounds or sit on your balcony. And who wants to be confined to their room until 10am on their holidays! Drinks have not been as cold as usual and the AC is struggling with the temperatures this year. Rooms are feeling tired with mold visible in the showers. Reception staff are unfriendly and unhelpful.

Have stayed here for the last 6 years. Never again. They have decided to not open the doors until 10am so there is no where to sit in the early morning sun anymore. Staff were very unhelpful when I raised this. Our rep was told it would change to 9am. It hasn't. Sad to see the decline of this hotel in a number of other areas as well. Don't stay here.
