Protur Safari Park

We arrived as a couple on 1st September 2026, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary on 7th and, to be honest, do not have a bad word to say about the hotel.. in fact, quite the opposite. STAFF From a warm greeting, explanation of how everything worked, and treating everyone like a friend, lovely. Everyone greeted us - from reception staff, to caterers and cleaners - all with a smile. They just could not do enough for us. ROOM Twin-bedded (large beds), bathroom with hairdryer, plenty of various sized towels, walk-in rainforest shower, a TV (which we could not figure out how to change to English, but that's on us!), telephone, sofa-bed, balcony with table & 2 chairs, plenty of storage space and a safe which cost €2/night. There was also ample luggage space and a full-length mirror. The air-conditioning works - but is motion-activated, so an open door is better, despite the noise from outside. FOOD We were all-inclusive and there was salad available all day, fruit, ice-cream and a separate kid's food area that had more 'child-friendly' options. The 'mains' were pasta/pizza, different rice's, then a selection of different meat dishes, which varied daily. There was a selection of cakes and biscuits all available. Breakfast 8-10.30, lunch 12.30-3 and dinner 6.30-9 ( from what we remember!). Really, really nice food. The usual dinks were available, selection of wines, tea, coffee, chocolate and soft drinks/water. There are also 4 themed restaurants, indian, italian, tex-mex and eastern. The Tex-Mex and Italian are REALLY popular and you get 1 guaranteed visit to one of the restaurants per stay (we recommend the Italian) and you can eat at the others, however, you have to download the app and check at 2pm each day to see if there is space available. Its a bit of a faff, but worth it. DRINK There are a number of bars available and we made good use of the various cocktails on offer - note that you can ask for alcohol to be added to the virgin ones, if you wish. ENTERTAINMENT There is entertainment put on every night. The kids club starts at 8.30, and the adult entertainment at 9.30. It's a different show every night and it is very good - some of the best we have seen, if I'm honest. It is just a 10-20 minute walk to the many shops of Sa Coma and beautiful sandy beach. On the way, be sure to stop at Pizzeria Salvator for a drink and chat with Juan and Catalina who treated us like family. The beach is child-safe, and the sea can have you walking out about 100 yards and still only around 4 ft deep. * On a side note, the Sa Coma chemist opens daily, however only one Sunday in 4, as each area's Chemist (ie, Cala millor, also) takes it in turns to open on Sundays. * Shops do not seem to open until 10ish, and the only place we found for an earlier breakfast when we were out (even this was 9.15ish) was a cafe right before you get to the beach. * There is a lovely market in Sa Coma each Wednesday, which opens at 5, but better to wait til around 6pm to visit, when all stalls are there. Bags, jewellery, leather goods, sweets, baked goods... the list goes on! There doesn't seem to be a set time for anything to open outside the hotel, in Sa Coma, but it is very family- orientated. All in all, a fantastic stay, and we will be going back to this hotel next year 😁

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights Positives -friendly staff, always said good morning to you even housekeeping in the corridors would smile and say hello - very clean, staff were always about cleaning communal areas etc - variety of pools - didn’t have to fight for sun beds plenty of them! - free beach towels ( they do put €10 per towel on your room but when you return them they take it off,just make sure to keep the receipt they give you) - even though lunch was not great, dinner time was good, variety every evening and they even did some themed dinners like Mexican, Asian food! - great train ride, stop is right outside hotel, we went to Cala millor on it, cost €10 per adult and my 2 year old was free but I believe children are €5, it is on and off service for that price. Runs every hour. - beach is 10 min walk if that - lots of shops and local supermarket too - great location Negatives (personal opnion) - paper cups wasn’t a fan, they’d just go soggy in the sun if you left your drink for a bit. - kids entertainment is on far to late in my personal opinion, it’s on at 8.30pm - kids entertainment in the evening was basically if not the same every night, it wasn’t great. - kids splash pool isn’t actually were the main pools are you have to take about a 3 min walk, wasn’t advertised like that on tui website! ( not complete negative as it’s good area just wasn’t expecting it to be outside the hotel complex) - only get access to al a cart 1x which receptionist told me I could go again just booking on the QR code but never worked because I already “had used my go”. - food was very repetitive mainly at lunch time, breakfast is same same anyway but lunch was boring tbh. - always expect to be waiting for a lift, lift took a long time, okay if you don’t have a pram can do the steps but yeah, did feel like I spent half the holiday waiting for a lift 😂 I would recommend this hotel If you’re looking for friendly, clean and good location hotel this is the one for you!

Can't fault this place, we stayed in a one bed apt. Had plenty of room for 2 people. Fridge, microwave and TV. We were all inclusive and the food was plentiful and of a good standard and varied. There's 5 pools in the complex with another kiddy watermark ( free) just outside the gates and another one (payable) 15€ pp if your all inclusive and that gets you drinks and food for the day. Sea front is 10mins walk to a great beach. To us this is a great place for families with kids, plenty of stuff for them to do.

3rd time at Safari Park and disappointed this time. Things have let slip, restaurants excellent. Food excellent. Jesus restaurant manager couldn’t be more helpful with my Gluten Free Diet. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Air con only goes to 21. This needs to be lower. Pools clean but tiled corridors in hotel and stairs and lifts filthy in places. Pool bar not opening on time at 6pm so that you can have a nice drink in a glass before evening meal. Guests still in pool way beyond 6pm - not hotel’s fault but perhaps Lifeguards needs to blow whistle just before they finish at 6pm to ask everyone out. Most Bar Staff rude. 2 young ones argued with me when I asked at 6.45 pm for a drink in a glass and refused to serve me. Seems like they’d rather keep serving paper cups after 6pm as easier for them. Poolside tables not cleared or cleaned like they used to. Evening Entertainment mediocre. I’ve seen better but also worse but they do try. Come on Safari Park.!! Take Leadership and control and get back to being the excellent 4 star you were.

I read the reviews prior to my visit and thought this hotel was ideal for a family of 4 adults and 3 children from 4 generations to enjoy a holiday. I couldn't have been more wrong, first the positives I noted during our stay. Food was good, plenty of choice and variety, not always hot but at least it was tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy aqua aerobics. Obviously being a party of 7 we had 2 rooms and whilst one room was cleaned and beds made to a satisfactory level the second room was not at all. Some days no attempt to make the beds, pots and glasses left uncleaned, floor was that dirty my socks went black. We reported this at reception we got different responses. Firstly I was informed pots should have been cleaned, next I was told they are not cleaned. We requested tea and coffee for the room and informed it's not provided. I have 3 holidays a year and have never stayed at any other hotel, regardless of rating, that didn't provide tea and coffee in the room. Poolside was not cleaned everyday, rubbish was strewn about, sunbeds were dirty. Staff were miserable ALL the time, entertainment was poor in the evening. I wanted to have some spa treatments but was informed I would have to walk up the road to another hotel to book and pay. I asked if I was able to book and pay through reception as I couldn't walk far, they just shrugged their shoulders and said no. Absolutely no help at all. I could go on but I'm loosing the will writing this review so just going to finish by saying: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL....
