TUI SUNEO Platja D'or

It's been a couple of weeks since we have got back . The hotel was all inclusive adults only which we wanted. The place is just outside alcudia which to get to yiu can walk or take the bus . The hotel is situated almost right on the beach which was great , the beach is fabulous all sand and very warm . The hotel is in need of slight renovation but nothing major . The hotel is very calm and friendly and the hotel staff are very nice . The pool is not big but again very nice with plenty of sunbeds the out side seating area was really good plenty of places to sit away from the sun for a quiet drink or somthing to eat . The garden was well maintained with covered seats scattered about . The food was what yiu expect ,a nice mix up of dishes and what the chef can do with a tomato was fantastic , the deserts were great . So overall the was very very good in my opinion . The beer was cruzcampo, which was good as I drink that back here there was a tap out side by the pool and you could help yourself. Our room was clean and tidy but basic, clean towels every other day the room was cleaned every day . The hole hotel was very clean so was the pool area. Wr went there looking for some piece and to chill out ,we left getting the sence that we got exactly that . Our lasting impression was that this hotel offers a lot in terms of location ,food and friendliness. Not the flashiest and certainly not the worst hotel . would we go back 🤔 in a heartbeat it left a good impression on us ,so I think we will next year .

A lovely stay at this hotel. We came here for a 4 day break after a cruise to relax on the beach before heading back to Blighty. The rooms are clean and tidy, a little dated but absolutely fine. They were cleaned on a regular basis. We didn’t experience the pool as the beach is fantastic, there are sunbeds available and they work out at £15.66 a day for 2 beds. The sea is clear, shallow and plenty of fish if you like that sort of thing. The entertainment is interesting, Elvis is on on a Saturday night was the best night by far, honestly he may not be brilliant but a lovely guy, got the audience going and was so much fun! Just don’t take it too seriously…. The quiz nights weren’t the best they dragged on a bit but maybe they just weren’t for us. There isn’t much around the hotel which we expected, we went to the old town one evening which is lovely. The staff in the hotel are very good, and in the main other guests, especially ones who remembered their manners, were lovely too, a lot of veterans were here and relished in telling you how many times they had been. The food is of a good standard for a 3 star hotel and we always found somewhere to sit and something to eat so all good . For a flip and flop holiday relaxing on a beautiful beach with food and drink included at a reasonable price you can’t go wrong with this hotel.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel after cruise, so I will review the cruise separately. The hotel is in a quiet area of Alcudia, its unique selling point has to be the beach, only a few steps away. The hotel itself is starting to look tired it’s adults only all inclusive, the reception is quick and easy check in is after 13:00 but if you arrive earlier you can store luggage and you get your AI band so you can use the facility’s the room we has was fairly small but you only sleep in it bathroom has a large walk-in shower the room was serviced every day, you can get beach towels from reception for a 10€ deposit normally on a AI holiday these are included. The beds are firm but as I suffer from lower back pain this was great for me. Dining room, food was good and plenty of variety something for everyone, tables cleared was sporadic depending on where you sit, one major problem is the lack of glasses if you come in mid service you have no chance of finding a glass for a drink. Entertainment one word crap. Bar service drinks are total rubbish, cocktail list poor I’ve never had a tequila sunrise made with orange squash gin and tonic no taste of gin witch makes me think all spirts are watered down beer is Cruz Campo again rubbish. Wine don’t get me started I’ve put better stuff on my fish and chips also no cava/procecco just flat horrid sparkling wine, we ended up going over to a small cafe bar across the street the road who sold proper drinks. Would I stay again only if I could go half board no point paying for AI when drinks so bad.

Absolutely love this hotel. As soon as we walk through the door into the bright , spacious, airy lobby we immediately feel so relaxed . Its becoming like a home in the sun to us and we already have 4 stays booked for next year. We Love the atmosphere, vibes and certainly the food. Its a Tui suneo , Adults only, all inclusive hotel and is only bookable through TUI. As I bring my elderly Mum along we book single rooms. They don't charge a single supplement so these sell like hotfire so you need to book well ahead. Please be aware that the single rooms are very compact but also very comfortable. The mirrors and glass balcony doors make them feel larger than they are. They have everything you need including a spacious furnished balcony. I stayed in 418 that was very quiet and offered a nice sea view. Bathrooms are spacious with large granite counter tops, hairdryer and walk in showers. Towels were replaced daily. Im used with a double bed so dont particularly like having a single however the matresses were exceptionally comfortable. TV with English channels and inroom tea and coffee making facilities which you very rarely get in Spanish hotels. The rooms are very well air cond, which was very well appreciated considering temperature was in mid 30s. The rooms are also immaculately clean. We Love the spacious grounds and lawns here which are very well maintained. a Lovely outdoor terrace where we enjoy Morning coffee in the sun and gins before lunch. Beautiful pool area where i enjoyed swimming and sunbathing in the afternoons. Never ever had any issues in finding a sunbed. For people looking for a more quiet environment there are beautiful lawns with sunlounges, sofa and comfy chairs around the hotel. Pleased they had some relaxing music playing on the outdoor terrace this year, made the poolside vibes more enjoyable. We both find the hotel above average in terms of the all inclusive offering. The bar in the lobby lounge also serves the pool area though there is also a seperate poolside snackbar where you can get food and help yourself to drinks including draft Cruz Campo beer. Unlike a lot of AI hotels, the beer and soft drinks here are branded. Beer is Cruz Campo and proper Pepsi, Pepsi Max, 7 up are all included. The house wine is drinkable, The gin and tonics are very, very drinkable and they make a fantastic Pina Colada! Food choice is excellent and caters to British tastes. There is an open plan sshow kitchen with a chef cooking different daily meat and fish dishes, aswell as a pasta station. British favourites like chicken pie, Lasagne, apple crumble and custard, strawberry mouse all appear regularly on the menu. A great salad bar , lovely cheese selection and some lovely soups. honestly My mother is the most fussy eater ive ever come across and she always enjoys the food here. We tend just to have a light breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee and croissants so we can enjoy a large 3 course lunch but a full English is available for those who want it along with an extensive continental offering. Evening Entertainment is low key but generally good. Friday night Karaoke was a brilliant night, wished they did Karaoke twice a week as its such a fun night. The Elvis tribute act was absolutely fantastic. We missed out on Abba Angels yet again but here 4 times next year, so just have to catch it!!! The Lionel Richie tribute act was the only night we did not enjoy, just not for us, didnt rate him at all. The lads running the entertainment were good fun, though we found a lot of the daytime entertainment more geared towards the over 60s, which didnt feel completely representative of the hotel as there were also a lot of younger people staying here. Franto, could you not organise a weekly game of beach volleyball, 5 aside, beat the goalie , stuff like that, which some of the younger lads could get involved in. Archery was good fun. Tui have a info desk in the lobby and Sarah the rep is absolutely fabulous. The best Tui rep we have ever come across. She is always available to assist guests and offer advice and support with anything you need. The location is amazing if your looking for a relaxing chilled holiday in the sun. we dont come here to go sightseeing but to relax and enjoy the hotel and beautiful beach walks. Go out of the hotel, across a little road, through a little gate and your straight onto one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Think white sands , carribean vibes. A beautiful beach path takes you into the resorts of Alcudia and Cann Picafort, This is not the hotel for you if you want to be in the middle of a busy resort but if your looking for a chilled rlaxing break in the sun its absolutely amazing. It has absolutely everything I want and need for a break in the sun and you will find lots of regular, repeat guests here who consider this beautiful hotel with the most lovely bunch of staff, their 2nd home in the sun.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel considering the price we paid. Room wasn't the cleanest. Towels were grey. Hired a beach towel and it was threadbare. Location to beach very good and food very good. Staff on the whole very nice but one receptionist had a bad attitude. Tui experience on the whole very poor. We were literally dropped in the middle of nowhere as the driver said he couldn't park outside the hotel! I'd had assisted travel up to that point and then had to walk in the midday heat to find the hotel. Rep said he'd look into it but nothing happened. Would not recommend hotel or Tui after this experience.
